Ok, so semes like this one really turns me off. "I like him, that's why I'm fucking this other guy cause I'm afraid of touching him." Uhuh? Ok sure, go do what you need to do to cope, but that ain't for me bruh. I really hate plots like this, maybe it's just my preference.
Another thing is that I connect with ukes more, that maybe the reason why I feel bad for him. First, he realized too late that he had some romantic feelings for the seme. Second, that seme had a very ambiguous romantic/sexual relationship with their senior. Third, the seme is a halfhearted ass who can't take that one step forward. Lastly, that senior ALWAYS brings up some PRIVATE shit with the seme that is hurting the uke.
I don't like that the seme goes sleeping with a another guy as a coping mechanism, because I wouldn't do that nor will I understand that reasoning, hormones or no hormones, bruh just use your hands. It would really make sense if the seme ended up with the senior, cause I mean he bought him gifts, stayed in contact with him, and some shit. That proves the fact that there should have been something going on between them, at least mangaka-sensei should have given us more background info between their relationship, cause it didn't place well for me. Like he's kinda flexing the things the seme did for him, and their time together, but he also gave them the push. Andddd that as well, I mean if the uke didn't make the first move, what could've happened??
So yeah, hated the seme, he's a coward and selfish guy that had little development throughout the manga. Yes I should have avoided this story, this mangaka really have that preference for very messy relationships LOL.
the senior bring up private stuff has me like heated and I completely agree with that part butttt thing abt the seme having sex with him isn’t a big deal, they were in high school and the seme and uke literally were just roommates and maybe started becoming good friends, I didn’t see anything abt the seme liking the uke while they were roommates but maybe after like when the uke hugged him when they found out maybe that’s when he started having some feelings ig but that’s all also the senior was there for him when his dad died even if it didn’t do much but the seme needed someone to help cope with that loss ig. Came across this manga again after a long time and I wanted to explain (since I read the recent comments above mine) that I didn't really hate that the seme slept with someone else, it's more on how I think that the seme's "like" was really something I can't comprehend. I'm ok with promiscuous people, what I'm not ok with is looking for substitutes because if that happened to me and someone who says they liked me but still slept with somebody else without them trying to at least show me signs that they liked me, I would feel bad and also lose my trust on their "like". And again, the seme had a very ambiguous relationship with the senior which I really wanted understand. It seems like the senior was only used as a plot device for the main couple's "love" because of the lacking back story between their "relationship".
I understand that different people have different opinions. I just wanted to share mine because the seme and the senior really made me feel bad for the uke.
