The end I think will leave us with a very bad after taste, not because of how toxic it is, I mean we know what we’re reading, but because their relationship literally doesn’t improve whatsoever, Jiwook will become even worse. His ptsd will manifest as hypersexuality and Juyeon will enjoy that and make it worse.

Juyeon flaunts having sex with Jiwook (which is humiliating), there are plenty of outside sex scenes (even in college campus where other people see them. That said, in the novel they are never described to be kissing (which is a detail a lot of the novel readers hated) and in the manwha they do kiss so maybe there will be some changes?

So from the fear of exposing of a single pic, then at the end jiwook literally allowed himself to be humiliated outside? Then never fight his way out?

All this will happen after his second time being gang r*ped btw. He will loose all of his character.

So that is why you warned me about a very bad taste ending. Its a fiction but its really made me so mad. It will made me feel relieved if Jiwook will first choose himself than his reputation and fear, and has a courage to get away. Start anew totally alone.

I honestly do think Jiwook is a piece of shit, he’s done awful things to Juyeon and is extremely homophobic in the novel. Mind you in the future there will be a scene where he and Juyeon will attend a college class together (first time going out in a while for Jiwook) and Juyeon will pressure him to wear a collar to which Jiwook will refuse cause it’ll make him look gay. Juyeon is openly gay so he’s furious about that comment so he mocks Jiwook for saying that.
But again that doesn’t mean that Juyeons actions are right, there’s nothing mentally sane about his actions. He’s also extremely ptsd ridden and has no right judgement that’s why I keep pointing out that they’re both extremely mentally ill. I honestly kept begging the author while reading to kill Jiwook like it would be amazing if he just died cause nothing can save that man at this point. Juyeon would’ve never let him free, he needs Jiwook.

I never imagine you went through while you reading the novel until the very end, maybe hoping there's redemption arc. I know it's different from the manhua. I believe the novel was much more detailed. And yeah, even I'm in your situation I will no doubt to also kept begging the author to kill Jiwook because its too much to handle, and there's no way it will numb us. I still remember the last time I read the novel that i literally cried with anger is "into the rose".
