Her manner of speaking is slow because she never had speech taught to her so it makes her seem a little more childlike. After taking all that into consideration, the age "gap" isn't that big of deal. Also-- he may be 300 in human years but that's makes him like a 20-30 year old in human standards. AND he's not trying anything! He's literally the greenest of flags people!
