She's basically a commoner who is the supposed lover of a noble. She has barely a social standing and is NOTHING compared to the prince. The royals. If the prince drags her somewhere, she can't do much of anything about it. So yes, she's being escorted by him. She can't be rude, she'd die. ML needs to step up, but not sure if he really could. It would cause mayhem.
