Why would Apollo not notice that he’s been struck by Cupid’s arrow even the main character is telling him that
no, he’s not did you miss the point? he was struck by Eros’s love arrow but before he was he was already in love with Daphne or at least enamored with her to a high extent. after he was struck by Eros’s love arrow his already existing feelings just magnetized. Daphne was struck by Eros’s hatred arrow although she was already in love with him before, because she was struck by such an arrow her emotions have become warped with intense hatred and that is why she is going through such mental turmoil.
Initially, he had no desire to love her, and neither of them was intended to develop feelings for one another. However, he had already been informed by a friend that he had been struck. Therefore, my argument is: if he was aware of this from the beginning, why did he still allow the influence of the arrow to overpower him and penetrate his otherwise guarded and ironic heart?
