Honestly one of the best things I've ever read, webcomic or otherwise. I'm heartbroken that it's over, but so glad that I got to experience their story. Read this. You won't regret it.

P.s. I never write comments and this story actually gave me the motivation to do so! It's worth it

Anyone got some A++ spoilers for a poor soul?

If someone is willing, can you sum up what Roxie has been scheming from the beginning? Like how she got Cassis out, her relationship with Dio, her plans now? I really love this story but I just binged it, so some stuff is going over my head rn

This is gonna be long, since Roxana's plan is quite complicated.

    How she got Cassis out:

As you have seen, she has been raising two kinds of butterflies: Fantasy (one that causes one to see illusions) and the Murderous/Carnivorous ones (who do the actual killing and eating). She lied to her father that two of the three butterfly eggs died, but actually one of them hatched early on (the Fantasy one) and the ones her family are aware of are the Carnivorous butterflies (the third egg we have seen in the greenhouse Roxana regularly visits). Roxana sends her Fantasy Butterflies to get intel and news on the Pedelian soldiers and Dion.

Meanwhile, she has been treating Cassis's wounds so that he becomes physically strong enough to go off on his own once Roxana lets him out. She also let him memories the floor plans of her mansion in case Cassis needed to escape on his own. She told him about the secret passage only she knew about.

Then she and her mother have been invited to Maria's disgusting tea party. She told the guards who were keeping guard that Maria wanted Dion to bring her toy aka Cassis to the tea party, so that if an accident happens, Dion or Maria will have to take the blame and responsibility. When Cassis escaped, the guards came to the tea party to inform Roxana about it. Roxana acted furious about it but when they said that those were Roxana's orders herself (to bring Cassis out), she prevented them from revealing the fact by throwing a knife at their bodies, causing them to get injured and bleed.

Jeremy was the one who found Cassis outside of his prison. I don't know if it was part of Roxana's plan or not but I think it was not intended because Roxana was surprised at the Karantules she saw at the greenhouse. Jeremy decided to open the breeding grounds of the Karantule monsters (those spider like ones) saying that it was already time for them to eat (Cassis being the monster feed). So Dion had to enter the scene and had his fateful encounter with Cassis. During their fight, Dion placed Roxana's mom in danger on purpose, so Cassis had to rescue her despite the risks, and was ultimately captured by Dion. Thankfully Roxana arrived in time to put a stop to this and slapped Dion for using her mother as a bait and putting her in danger. Roxana used this opportunity to have Lant punish Dion, and so Dion had to be sent to a faraway area to slay some monsters as punishment. Roxana used this to buy some more time to carry out the last part of her plans.

Roxana sent her butterflies to lure Cassis's search party (Isidor being the leader) to the northwest region (the only area where Dion has not been dispatched to). She released one of the Karantules into the Agriche territory which caused a huge ruckus in the territory, so the guards activated the sirens to indicate emergency. Lant Agriche assumed that it was the Pedelians who trespassed into the territory, so he told Roxana to put on her guard and check on Cassis (since the Pedelian people are searching for him). Roxana led Cassis to the secret passage she mentioned earlier and told him to follow the route outside to meet with his search party. Roxana then brings a fake Cassis (with the help of the Fantasy butterflies) in front of Lant and kills him as a surprise gift for the Pedelian guards (but we know they are all located in the Northwest region). So everything was an illusion while the real Cassis had long since escaped the Agriches. Dion was the only one who had a clue of what actually happened after he returned.

    Her relationship with Dion

Roxana abhors and despises Dion so much it could kill her. Dion killed her brother Asil, so don't expect her to go all soft for her brother's killer, even if he's her half-brother himself. She vowed to never show her weaknesses or cry in front of him.

As for the alliance with Dion, I think it's supposed to be them planning to rebel against Lant Agriche and destroy the Agriches. As for what Dion gets in return from all this, I am not so sure, but I think he will receive Roxana's attention and probably get to see her cry since he is somewhat obsessed with seeing her cry. Also, he does not see her romantically, that's the biggest misunderstanding for the readers.

I hope my explanation clarified your doubts. Feel free to ask questions if there's any part you didn't get.

I'm sorry but I would really like to know how you came to the conclusion that cion isn't obsessed with her in a romantic way? ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~

Not to argue or offend, but can you tell me why you think Dion is romantically interested in Roxana?

I am sure I said Roxana hates Dion, and Dion is only interested in seeing her cry. I don't even know why you are so adamant in romanticising their relationship when it's clearly toxic and will end badly even if it happens. (〜 ̄△ ̄)〜

I know that they are going to end up badly and I don't romanticize it, but in the chapter where they are making the deal, it seemed like it was based of obsession... And I am not adamant on romanticising it, but sadly many novels go down this route and I just wanted to be sure ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍
