What more could happen to redempt him? Its already so dragged out, and after completely losing the guy he turns into the same person that caused his trauma. I'm honestly really appalled right now lol. You're free to spoil me, does he actually ever develop proper love ?

I completely understand why you felt that way! I hated him so much too but after reading all the chapters I feel maternal towards the both of them lol. Honestly, after rereading multiple chapters I just want to start off by saying he really did love seonwoo im pretty sure. There’s a chapter with siwons POV which shows it, and it was when seonwoo offered awkward comfort regarding siwon and his dad’s situation where he started to gain feelings. He just didn’t know it was love at that point, instead he found him cute and felt a feeling other than lust for him. Then, that time where seonwoo comforted him when he had to leave the pension and got hit by his dad, was when he started to develop the starting feelings of love for him.

Anyways fast forward to the redemption arc, before then he did some pretty messed up stuff. I’m not gonna water it down at all because he is genuinely a “bad” person, but he realises it and changes as much as he can. He gave up on ostracising him because he hated seeing him hurt, and said that the reason he did all of this in the first place was because “it hurt too much” seeing seonwoo despise him. Seonwoo developed depression and Siwon took care of him, at this point seonwoo still didn’t love him again so dw. Siwon made all the rumours die down too by pulling strings, he also beat up this guy that mocked seonwoo, and im pretty sure he beat shinju too if I remember correctly. Anyways, at this point seonwoo didn’t fight back anymore but he still didn’t love him. Seonwoo was too scared to go to the cafeteria after this bullying incident so siwon would bring him food form home. During one of these scenes, seonwoo said “do you like me that much?” Then siwon said “No. That words not enough” so this was the point in which it was revealed he loved seonwoo.

okay, so, seonwoo couldn’t handle the trauma he’d been through because of siwon so he planned to drop out. i won’t explain everything just in case u wanna read it but someone snitched on him. When siwon found out, a huge argument occurred, then at the end siwon just asked seonwoo to stay by his side. He said he didn’t need seonwoo to love him or cherish him, he just wanted him close to him. Seonwoo became suicidal after hearing that his mother was living happily without him and even had a new son, and when siwon found out that was the point where he finally gave up and begged seonwoo not to die, finally gaining some character development as he pushed his own desires to the side and didn’t approach seonwoo anymore as he wished. A few weeks passed by and siwon respectfully asked seonwoo if he wanted to try again as he missed him. Seonwoo said he couldn’t promise him anything, but in the end he agreed. Siwon was extra careful to not hurt him. And a few weeks after, they did get back together. Now this is a bit watered down but trust me siwon did gain some clear character development. When they got into uni and lived together, siwon would flee every time they kissed because he was scared of sleeping with seonwoo lol as he has trauma surrounding the bet and what it caused. Even when seonwoo was clearly offering, he’d just run as he didn’t want to hurt him.

Thank you for the long reply I appreciate it~ I don't know how I feel about Siwon reaching out himself after a few weeks, but is it true he has Amnesia at the end? I couldn't wrap my mind around why the Author would do that and what it's for, hearing that made me so angry I stopped reading It feels like once again rewarding Siwon by erasing the memory. Another person said his behavior during Uni was also similar to before...

Yeah I completely understand, however he reached out in a very respectful way, keeping a good distance. I feel like he just couldn’t handle being away from seonwoo. And yes, he does get amnesia in an AU where he loses his memories of them falling in love. In those chapters, he is first a complete ASSHOLE but later on starts to love seonwoo and then he suddenly gets an identity crisis and feels jealous of his pre-amnesiac self?? Because seonwoo is persistent that siwon HAS to regain his memories as they’ve been through so much, which is understandable. At first siwon understands after seeing pictures of them before he lost his memories, but later on the identity crisis occured. He told seonwoo to stop trying to search for the “real siwon” and even started saying he’d make the siwon he wanted “disappear” and would erase the memories if they tried coming back lol. Now both of them argued, then went through some character development where seonwoo learnt to love him either way, and he understood him. Honestly… i think the AU was very well written but not really needed… I would’ve preferred if the author kept on writing domestic fluff lol. I think her intent was so show the essence of their love for eachother. In the last chapter, it was probably a week after he regained his memories and it’s was quite funny and cute lol. Siwon kept calling his amnesiac self crazy and started getting rid of all the clothes, jewellery, perfume etc that he bought whilst amnesiac. He called himself a bastard for being an asshole to seonwoo, and told seonwoo “you were too soft on him, you should’ve just beat him up.” where seonwoo then replied “i can’t beat up a patient, and plus, i just found it cute later on.” Then siwon got a little jealous that he found his amnesiac self “cute”.


His behaviour during uni was a bit similar id say. He was still possessive and jealous over him, but he didn’t treat him like a sex object and genuinely loved him which is good. He cared for him alot however he was a bit upset at seonwoo because he got drunk with his friends from uni, and he felt abandoned. But they settled it and Siwon didn’t control him, thankfully. I think it was more cute than toxic imo. I don’t remember it 100% though, I just know for sure he didn’t control him!
