u might be a surprise to u sometimes actions speak more than words. it's obvious that it's still hard for skylar to communicate and properly open up about his trauma but at least he showed how much he cares abt cirrus with his actions and that was enough for cirrus. especially since we already knew since chapter 99 that apologizing with words is not enough for cirrus and he would prefer it much more if skylar showed him that he's sorry with his actions. that's why the intimacy between them meant so much for both of them. obviously i would prefer it so much more if they actually communicate with words, especially if skylar fully apologized for the hurtful things he said, not only for punching cirrus, but u really can't expect them to act as any normal couple after everything they've been through
