I stopped reading this back when the guy who wants the MCs ex hires some actors to pretend (again) to be her parents.. does anyone know if that is a reoccurring thing? Does he find out? Does the guy fail? I miss this story & want to re-read it but not if that guy is the antagonist. Spoilers are ok.
Ended up re-reading and got most my answers at ch 65. I thought they’d make it work but nope.. The Exs dad is a baaaaastard and they drift apart.. there’s also waaaay more military talk than I remember but it’s now starting to really center around cooking :).
She gives me maomao vibes sometimes lol. It’s cool to see this type of murim story with a FL and I’m liking her development.
I wanna start this again but before I do can anyone answer these questions-
- What chapter does the ML find out about FL condition?
- Does FL put herself or find herself in situations that cause misunderstandings (with other men)?
- Does FL keep things to herself? Aka doesn’t ask or seek help?
I can’t remember what chapter he finds out the extent of everything, but he realizes she’s sick fairly early on. And then, if I remember correctly, when he does find out it’s artist disease, he waits for her to become more comfortable and doesn’t get angry at her for not telling him. But he does show his concern and support for her.
There are a few handsome guys that show up, but none of them are rivals for her affection. A couple do like her, but they don’t make any moves on her, though they do tease the ML.
They realize that she and the ML are definitely in love with each other. So no misunderstandings in that regard. No reverse harem situations.
Though a few misunderstandings in a few small ways that aren’t really bad. Like when she’s pregnant and he doesn’t know how to handle her cravings and appetite and says something idiotic.
The only thing she kept to herself was her health and illness. And she did break the taboo of painting a couple of live creatures at times and the illness almost took over when ML was injured and unconscious and she missed him so much she almost finished a painting of him.
But once he knew the extent of her illness, there were no more secrets between them.

This is my kinda "harem". Platonic, MC admiration, mutually beneficial relationships with no heart eyes, no lust blushes, no "omg I instantly love him he's mine" bullshit AND there's male companions too. Not to mention the MC is super lovable and sweet. Love love love iiiit
