So now she’s starting to feel bad?? They play her up as some cold hard warrior but now that she’s talked to someone who’s felt her wrath she’s being remorseful. I mean that is usually how it goes but I don’t understand why I’m so annoyed by her character changing like this :/ I think I’m going to drop it for awhile and maybe try it again in the future. Her character feels very inconsistent (i’m sure it has to do with her growth) and I don’t like her being all sulky... it’s annoying especially when she’s killed many
I’m pretty sure they’re implying that she only killed combatants. People they considered active fighters, so not civilians or medics which is similar to real life. I’m pretty sure they are heading to the idea she’s been tricked into killing non combatants by the higher ups. I really don’t feel her character is being inconsistent it’s just that she’s forced to face her moral code.
I don't know... After the chapter which shows a littler of her past I think she was taken from wherever she was and was raised to be a war machine. She doesn't show any remorse because probably she never receive anything from people to feel empathy. Now that she is seeing others people's perspectives she is starting to understand better about emotions and empathy. But apart from this, I have no idea why or how she disappeared 8 years ago or if she even killed civilians. I can't imagine also a proper reason to why the king are so desperate if it was him who send her to that land, she doesn't care about noble things so far to be a treath like they think... maybe the nobles are trying to win her over? I don't know. But I don't care either, because this are signs that this is a good story, which is not full of predictable plots :)

This book is sooo good! I’m pretty excited to see how they do this because if they keep all the jokes it’s pretty funny and a great adventure story.
