As a parent you don’t weigh down the faults of your child, you guide them through the hard times and help them take on their responsibilities for them to be respectable with humility, maturity is grown from imitation, you’ll realize very quickly that your child’s personality and morales is a mirror of yourself. Show a level headed and well rounded personality at all times to set an example of an independent adult. You can fall down and show them weakness, that’s an act of maturity because they’ll see your strongest character in relation to your weakest moment with a higher meaning. Be loving and adoring even if it’s cheesy and play with your kids, a child will learn discipline from you always being over their shoulder reminding them how to practice a polite behaviour, the worst you could do is neglect your child and tear down their drive and passion.
Immature parent right there, imagine bringing your wife and kids over to meet your parents and you’re treated like this by your birth parents, the maturity and respect you’ve shown to let bygones be bygones but then you can’t even expect the same level of maturity from your elders, just goes to show age doesn’t bless you with a good personality only time and effort and his despicable parents didn’t even visit him when he was terminally ill at the hospital as if he were dead that’s the kind of personality they have, they should’ve never had children if they can’t protect and nurture their child's health and happiness, when you bring a life into the world you should own up to that responsibility.
