In my case, ever since I registered on this site, I get notifications a day after a manga was updated. I still don't know why though (〜￣△￣)〜
you might have bookmarked instead of subscribed to it. That happened to me when I first joined. Make sure your clicking the subscribe button under the manga.
Yeah, I think part of it is the time zone? I usually get my notifications around 3-4 am or so for the day before. There are also days they just don't come through at all, but, as I've added more stuff to my reading list, I haven't noticed that as often.
@AIKA , subscribe is ticked by default and I think @Satan is right, it's probably the timezone. ╮(￣▽￣)╭
