When I saw that riddle I thought it was going to be a reference to the Ennead. Like there are 9 gods (roughly) as part of the Ennead although this author might have changed it to 8 lol.

I have let this marinate for a while so im not really up with the plot, but read some recent chapters. And no the author didn't change the ennead, the ennead is always 9 (with seth ofc). The 8 gods that the author is talking about are different gods named "Ogdoad" they were worshiped in hermopilis (the religious center of thoth) and the Ogdoad was formed by 8 ancient gods that represents elements, there are 4 male gods and 4 female godesses, and they are in pairs, each pair form an element, they are amun and amunet that represents winds, kek and kauket that represents darkness, heh and heuhet that represents infinity, and finally nu and naunet that represents water/ocean. Those 8 gods were powerful in the mythology and ancient Egyptians always worshiped them esp amun, that's way a large number of pharaohs' names end with amun, bc he was the strongest out of them all.

So Kane Chronicles fans know that there are the three aspects of Ra: Ra, Khepi, and Atum. I wonder if this version reinterprets Atum as the one who possesses the eye of the Sun, so in this case the trio would be Ra, Khepi, and this “Atum-Horus”.
Kinda like how Hathor-Sekhmet are often seen as the same deity, i really have to say, this author really love Egyptian mythology cause wow.
You're right the 3 aspects of ra have been mentioned here as well thru the mural inscriptions which were translated by fans on twitter.. for years we have been theorising the arrival of atum and it it'd be a male form since khepri as dawn has been depicted as a child. There were some speculations about horus absorbing Ra to become Ra horakhty or Ra planning to absorb horus inorder to regain wadjet back but I never once thought about the atum horus angle wow. Could u elaborate more about it if u dont mind? Sekhmet n hathor in this manhwa share the same body but diff life force so it has me wondering if indeed instd of a ra horakhty mojito might take this atum ra path.
