Idk if you know but in the first trimester the hormones are still not stable and anything can happen during that time. Doctors usually give it 3-4 months to see if the fetus couldn't hold onto the uterus. So it is recommended that the couple should refrain from rough intercourse or even better no intercourse at all because instability. Now I'm no doctor nor a medical student but from my knowledge the first trimester is the most dangerous period during a pregnancy. So I think his reason for being scared abt miscarriage caused by rough sex is pretty valid.

I agree with you. What I was trying to point out is that rough movement and non careful movement can lead to a miscarriage, not only cause by rough sex. But it's definitely recommended to not have sex until things stabilize + the body becomes vulnerable and is very easy to get infected by something. I'm not trying to argue I'm just expressing my opinion about how rough sex can lead to a miscarriage
