i was just looking through the bl awards nominations months ago when i saw how striking the cover was out of the others but no one has picked this up yet?? personally, i find puppy-like semes to be a hit or miss (mostly miss), they tend to be really pushy and lacking sense of boundaries that it ends up being dubcon/noncon it always irritates me lol. so i was surprised that tobashi is… actually pretty normal. such a precious guy, he doesn’t even realize that he’s already good enough until ichikawa told him :”)) i was genuinely devastated when i saw him with black, short hair in the extras… sacrificing his beautiful hair to be a salaryman... why… i don’t really mind slutty ukes in stories but ichikawa being a bratty bottom is the cherry on top with tobashi’s hidden sadistic dom side. it clashes but somehow they made it work and it’s hot. this might not be everyone’s taste but i actually like that nothing really dramatic happened in the story, if you’re here for a light read or just finished reading something heavy, this is for you! the smut scenes really made it up for me, it just gets kinkier every chapter i could feel my soul leaving my body like ichikawa bcs it just keeps getting more intense (and more work for me). my other take is imo this manga would be better if it was colored or maybe some of the pages were colored, bcs we know that tobashi first fell in love with ichikawa’s blue eyes and hair but it didn’t really get mentioned until the end and yeah, yeah ik the point is he doesn’t love him just for his looks but i just feel like it’s a missed opportunity to not show how beautiful the characters are in color y’know. sorry, i yap too much lol i’m a reader first before an uploader.
