He does things without consulting with the mc all the time and didn't even consider how mc felt when he asked them to distance each other for a bit and even blamed HIM. Overreacting much??? Ik it's for his own sake but at least explain it properly instead of just saying "trust be bro"
SPEAKING OF, how does mc not get hella red flags from this guy after all he's been through with his ex, like they both tell him to "do as I say" and always seem to push their methods on mc HELLO?? No scepticism regarding ml's motives or anything? As readers ofc we know his motives are intended to be good but not mc, for all he knows, ml is just some mildly nice jerk who suddenly wants to help. There would have been more drama from that too BYE.
Ch 20 and I wanna keep reading, but are there any stakes in this at all? Or does he lose at some point?? The art's really pretty, but it's gonna get really dull for me if I know he's gonna win every single time :/
He does lose some games though the story does focus more on his wins except when the loss is important to the plot line or character development.
My theory is that he collects artifacts to absorb their powers somehow idk
