So, their relationship is quite tangled. Honestly, I understand Dane because Grayson is very clumsy and wants to spend all his time with him. Grayson is just very affectionate and caring toward him, many of his affectionate gestures are rejected by Dane so their relationship takes time to develop, but he try really hard. At one point, you can feel that Dane actually likes him back, but he resists because of his past and doesn't want anything serious. Eventually, though, he starts to be more open and begins to return the favor. In the novel, they break up and get back together several times, but Grayson is very persistent.

I think he is scared that he will become like this father, se was really bad, so he is more hard on him and don't trust him sinee Grayson lie a lot to him and he is great a lying, he can lie without even blinking. I think he like a lot this children, since he is willing to do anything for them but he is just more realist and he have a pessimist personality so think to fare. Eventually, he even starts thinking of Dane before taking action (wondering what Dane would do, for example) in order to limit the damage.
He also start to understand this brother chase and why he didnt want to sleep around. When he fall for Dane, he stop sleeping around even for pheromones, he go for injections instead, even goes on rut because of that and sleep with Dane. He also try to understand Dane and to not hurt this feelings, or him, he do not want to force himself on him. He even said to this father something like "he also want what Dane want" when Dane request something from Ashley.

To not help, when their start dating, Dane try to cheat on Grayson, and go to a bar many times to find someone to have sex with, but Grayson interferes each time and stop it.
He was also their when a women confronted Dane about getting her pregnant (it was false) but it just solidified the fact that Dane is really promiscuous and Grayson wonder if he can be satisfied with only him and even ask him with make Dane regret this past.
Grayson also when to have a lot of Dane first but well he do not have a lot of first left... but take a lot of Grayson first with make him tell him that we when to do new things with me and he should give him some of this first to.
Dane start to get better at relationships and promise to not see other people will there are dating or go to bar

The end of the novel is as messy as the novel, there is a lot of drama involved.
1st: Dane got involved in an incident while trying to save Grayson. At this point, Dane broke up with Grayson, saying he is done and moved out of their home. Grayson didn't do anything, it was just the time of their 3 month trial, and he wanted to do a feast for them, and did too much (so I think Dane got scared and fed up?).
Grayson was kidnapped with the help of one of his colleagues at the fire station (really messy, I was so mad at Ezra). The guy started to have money issues and decided to involve himself with shady guys who wanted to kidnap Grayson, so he asked Grayson, using Dane as an excuse, to meet, and he came.
He was kidnapped there. From what I understand, Grayson could have fought and saved himself, but Ezra was begging him to comply and follow the kidnappers, saying that they would not hurt him, and that he needed the money, so at some point, Grayson complied, thinking about Dane.
Mind you, Dane later said that if it was him, he would not have complied and would have beaten Ezra first, haha.
At this point Ashley asked Joshua to be Grayson's partner's bodyguard. At first, he refused until he saw an article about Grayson and Dane.
It was quite the drama as Dane was also involved in an article scandal including Pittman's partner (Grayson's friend). So when a picture of Grayson and Dane was taken in the same sexshot where he was with Pittman's partner, it was quite the drama. Keith got involved and threatened Grayson not to involve himself or Dane with the partner. It's not even Grayson's fault, but Keith said that he would sue him next time (Good luck with Ashley and Grayson's brother who is a lawyer!). Keith even came to his house with a helicopter, that's how much he was mad.
So Dane started to suspect Ezra when news of the disappearance of Grayson broke. He didn't know why, but his behavior changed, so he was suspicious. Ezra finally confessed, and Dane and Joshua went to save Grayson.
Grayson was in a pitiful state, asking himself if he should fight or not. He even told Dane not to look at him since he was ugly in this state, lol.
So Grayson was kidnapped by a crazy religious group, and the group planned to bomb the area. They were at the top of a mountain. So Dane asked Joshua to take Grayson down to protect him, saying he would stay at the top and try to stop the bomb, otherwise, many people would die. Grayson didn't want to leave Dane and got knocked out.
While going down, Grayson woke up and started to panic at the thought of Dane being at the top. He even fought with Joshua about why he left him there. Joshua got mad and said that Dane didn't listen to anyone, and he couldn't stop him.
At some point, they heard an explosion. The bomb exploded, but by chance, no one was hurt, but Dane was badly hurt. The doctor said that it's a miracle if he survives. He was in the hospital, with assistance, unconscious and in a really bad state.
Ashley and Koi were also scared for him and checked on his condition. Ashley was also scared that if Dane died, Grayson would kill himself, as he thought that, in this state, he would do this.
Koi (Grayson's omega father) decided to try to help him with pheromones. Koi and Dane are both dominant omegas. It's said that dominant omegas have a strong link between them. It seems true since Koi knew Dane's traits at first and really liked him from their first meeting. Dane also seemed to appreciate him. So he proposed to give him a pheromoneshower. He had to tell his husband and said that it's not a request but an information, since he would do it no matter what. Ashley agreed even if he wasn't pleased and was jealous. I think they had an agreement between them that Koi should use his pheromones, something like that.
So Koi did it the first time and it worked. He managed to make him wake up, but it really took a toll on him. He was really weak after but was really happy to be able to help Dane. When Dane woke up, they said that he might be blind since his pupils did not react to light.
Koi decided to do it again a second time. Ashley wasn't happy since he was really weak after the first time, but Koi said that this time it would be easier since Dane was awake. He just wanted to share his energy with him, and it worked. Dane was fine after.
After that, Dane was awake but his eyes were covered to help him recover. When he woke up, many said that Grayson came to visit him each day to check on him. But when he regained his eyesight and was conscious, he stop coming.
One day, he was in his room and woke up feeling someone was there with him. He called and asked if anyone was there, but there was no response. He even called Grayson's name but no answer. After that, the person left without saying anything.
"End of the NOVEL Part 2 the break up"
The day Dane was discharged, Grayson was there and gave him flowers. Dane learned that Grayson took care of his cat while he was in the hospital, and also that the Miller family solved the issue with his insurance. Grayson said that he told his father that Dane would not have a house after he was discharged from the hospital, so Ashley asked Grayson's brother to take care of it, and he did. He got a settlement from the shady company, they will finance the house rebuild and help find a house for Dane in a nice neighborhood to live until.
Dane asked Grayson what he wanted, and Grayson said a date, referencing a promise Dane had made to him. So they went to Disney since it's Grayson's favorite place. They had fun, but it was too much for Dane. So when he was sitting and resting, someone came and asked if it was him, and he said yes. He learned that he had become quite famous as a hero who saved many people, many asked for photos, and it took a long time.
After everyone left, Grayson came back and Dane asked if he had thought this situation could happen, and he said yes and laughed. Dane was mad. But the fireworks started, and they looked at the sky. Dane thought that Grayson's attitude had been strange since they first met again, but he couldn't tell what was bothering him.
After some time, Grayson said they should break up and that he is quitting everything. Dane was shocked how can this man who said he loved him say that? and he was the first to said that its over lol Instead of saying okay, he asked why.
Grayson said that when he first learned that Dane might be blind, he smiled and was happy because it meant that he would not put himself in a dangerous situation and would quit being a firefighter since it's dangerous. He also said that the night at the hospital where Dane felt someone was there, it was him, and that night he was planning on killing Dane and himself so that they would be together forever, but Dane woke up and he stopped. He said that what he feel for Dane, cannot be love since its so ugly and bad, so he must no love him.
Dane said that it was fine since he didn't do it in the end, but Grayson said that he still had this voice in his head telling him to do it. So he cried and said that it was over and left. Dane was shocked but didn't stop him. After that, Grayson disappeared from this live.
One day, Dane saw an article about a Miller getting shot. He immediately thought of Grayson and tried to reach him or Joshua and couldn't, so he went to his house and waited. Grayson finally came home and found him, he asked him why he was there, he was shocked.
Dane explained, and Grayson checked his phone. It was a clickbait (putaclick) article about Chase, so he told him and joked that if he were shot, he would be at the hospital or in the morgue. Dane didn't laugh back.
Dane told him that he got scared since he always thinks that if someone from the Miller family gets shot, it will be Grayson. Also, it was at the time where he heard rumors saying that Grayson was apologizing to people he had hurt inthe past.
He asked Grayson if he was fine since he looked pale, tired, and had lost weight. Grayson said no, which shocked Dane. Grayson said after this not to come even if he hears that he dies, otherwise, he might pounce on him.
Dane left after that. He felt Grayson's eyes on him until he left with his car, but he did not turn back.
Final part end of the Novel
After their last meeting, Dane feels like his life, even though it is similar to the one he had before, is different; he feels like everything has become a bit more boring and different. He stopped going to parties and sleeping around. Even his colleagues/friends noticed the difference and teased him about it.
As a result, his daily routine became a bit of a "work, commute, sleep" cycle, and he feels like there is a void in his heart, but he can't figure out exactly what it is. He sometimes thinks of Grayson, but he doesn't really take any initiative to contact him.
One day, a bomb went off in a building, and firefighters were deployed to the area to save people and evacuate. Everything was going well, but at one point, Dane felt like he heard someone calling for help, but he couldn't figure out where the voice was coming from, so he started searching and went back into the building. He distanced himself from his colleagues and found a woman who needed assistance. Unfortunately, a part of the building collapsed and they were separated, the woman managed to get out and explained to Dane's colleagues what happened, so they knew he was trapped inside, but they couldn't send a team inside at the moment because the building was unstable and on the verge of collapsing. In the end, it was Grayson who went to save him, he saw on TV that there had been an explosion and said he knew very well that Dane would find himself in a situation like that (where he puts his life in danger) and that he would find himself alone in that situation. He managed to find him in the building,Dane asks him how he found him, and Grayson explains it to him. It is at that moment that Dane tells him he loves him, and Grayson tells him that he was his forever haha. Grayson managed to get both of them out of the building just in time before it collapsed. However, Dane was seriously injured and had to be hospitalized for several weeks.
Upon waking up, Grayson asked him again to tell him what he had said to him in the building, but he pretended not to remember, which panicked Grayson, who told him it was too late to change his mind. Dane laughed, told him he did remember, and told him again that he loves him.

Everything is going fine while they are living together. Grayson even buys a lot of matching couple stuff (including things for the cat), Dane have mixed feeling since they are expensive but accepte. Dane tells his friend that he is in a relationship. He also wants some advice about what to give Grayson as a present, but he feels like Grayson already has everything and has a lot of money, so it's difficult for him to find something nice.
In the meantime, Grayson tells him that when they break up, he will start going around apologizing to people he hurt. He discovered that the people he used to have relationships with started a group chat about him (lol). He also found out that three women had slept with him and Dane, and one had slept with Dane many times... so he asks him if he is sure he can be with only one person. Dane asks if Grayson thinks he will cheat. Grayson he want to believe he wouldn't ... but says that he cannot bear the thought of Dane cheating on him. Dane is shocked but thinks it's karma, since he did not give Grayson enough assurance.
Dane talking with Joshua (He was reluctant at first since the brothers are still at odds), he finally told him that he is dating Grayson, he was ask for advice for a gift. Joshua didnt want to help a first because it was for Grayson, but finally give in. Dane finds the perfect present: going to Disneyland again, since Grayson really like this place and last time was a disaster lol ! They have fun there, Dane told him its to raise bad memory and build new one, Grayson hear start pondering, and Dane told him that what he is feeling is "touching" so he discovers a new emotion.
At Disneyland, Dane was standing far away from Grayson because he was embarrassed (lol). Grayson was excited about everything just like a child.
At the end of the day, Dane tells Grayson that he loves him, that they should stay together, and never break up. He also says that he knows that he has many issues, but he hopes that when difficult times come, Grayson won't let go of him.
Grayson says he will never let go of what is his, so Dane is his forever.

Koi (Grayson's omega father) decided to try to help him with pheromones. Koi and Dane are both dominant omegas. It's said that dominant omegas have a strong link between them. It seems true since Koi knew Dane's traits at first and really liked him from their first meeting. Dane also seemed to appreciate him. So he proposed to give him a pheromoneshower. He had to tell his husband and said that it's not a request but an information, since he would do it no matter what. Ashley agreed even if he wasn't pleased and was jealous. So Koi did it the first time and it worked. He managed to make him wake up, but it really took a toll on him. He was really weak after but was really happy to be able to help Dane. When Dane woke up, they said that he might be blind since his pupils did not react to light.

The day Dane was discharged, Grayson was there and gave him flowers. Dane learned that Grayson took care of his cat while he was in the hospital, and also that the Miller family solved the issue with his insurance. Grayson said that he told his father that Dane would not have a house after he was discharged from the hospital, so Ashley asked Grayson's brother to take care of it, and he did. He got a settlement from the shady company, they will finance the house rebuild and help find a house for Dane in a nice neighborhood to live until.
Dane asked Grayson what he wanted, and Grayson said a date, referencing a promise Dane had made to him. So they went to Disney since it's Grayson's favorite place. They had fun, but it was too much for Dane. So when he was sitting and resting, someone came and asked if it was him, and he said yes. He learned that he had become quite famous as a hero who saved many people, many asked for photos, and it took a long time.
After everyone left, Grayson came back and Dane asked if he had thought this situation could happen, and he said yes and laughed. Dane was mad. But the fireworks started, and they looked at the sky. Dane thought that Grayson's attitude had been strange since they first met again, but he couldn't tell what was bothering him.
After some time, Grayson said they should break up and that he is quitting everything. Dane was shocked how can this man who said he loved him say that? and he was the first to said that its over lol Instead of saying okay, he asked why.
Grayson said that when he first learned that Dane might be blind, he smiled and was happy because it meant that he would not put himself in a dangerous situation and would quit being a firefighter since it's dangerous. He also said that the night at the hospital where Dane felt someone was there, it was him, and that night he was planning on killing Dane and himself so that they would be together forever, but Dane woke up and he stopped. He said that what he feel for Dane, cannot be love since its so ugly and bad, so he must no love him.
Dane said that it was fine since he didn't do it in the end, but Grayson said that he still had this voice in his head telling him to do it. So he cried and said that it was over and left. Dane was shocked but didn't stop him. After that, Grayson disappeared from this live.
One day, Dane saw an article about a Miller getting shot. He immediately thought of Grayson and tried to reach him or Joshua and couldn't, so he went to his house and waited. Grayson finally came home and found him, he asked him why he was there, he was shocked.
Dane explained, and Grayson checked his phone. It was a clickbait (putaclick) article about Chase, so he told him and joked that if he were shot, he would be at the hospital or in the morgue. Dane didn't laugh back.
Dane told him that he got scared since he always thinks that if someone from the Miller family gets shot, it will be Grayson. Also, it was at the time where he heard rumors saying that Grayson was apologizing to people he had hurt inthe past.
He asked Grayson if he was fine since he looked pale, tired, and had lost weight. Grayson said no, which shocked Dane. Grayson said after this not to come even if he hears that he dies, otherwise, he might pounce on him.
Dane left after that. He felt Grayson's eyes on him until he left with his car, but he did not turn back.

After their last meeting, Dane feels like his life, even though it is similar to the one he had before, is different; he feels like everything has become a bit more boring and different. He stopped going to parties and sleeping around. Even his colleagues/friends noticed the difference and teased him about it.
As a result, his daily routine became a bit of a "work, commute, sleep" cycle, and he feels like there is a void in his heart, but he can't figure out exactly what it is. He sometimes thinks of Grayson, but he doesn't really take any initiative to contact him.
One day, a bomb went off in a building, and firefighters were deployed to the area to save people and evacuate. Everything was going well, but at one point, Dane felt like he heard someone calling for help, but he couldn't figure out where the voice was coming from, so he started searching and went back into the building. He distanced himself from his colleagues and found a woman who needed assistance. Unfortunately, a part of the building collapsed and they were separated, the woman managed to get out and explained to Dane's colleagues what happened, so they knew he was trapped inside, but they couldn't send a team inside at the moment because the building was unstable and on the verge of collapsing. In the end, it was Grayson who went to save him, he saw on TV that there had been an explosion and said he knew very well that Dane would find himself in a situation like that (where he puts his life in danger) and that he would find himself alone in that situation. He managed to find him in the building,Dane asks him how he found him, and Grayson explains it to him. It is at that moment that Dane tells him he loves him, and Grayson tells him that he was his forever haha. Grayson managed to get both of them out of the building just in time before it collapsed. However, Dane was seriously injured and had to be hospitalized for several weeks.
Upon waking up, Grayson asked him again to tell him what he had said to him in the building, but he pretended not to remember, which panicked Grayson, who told him it was too late to change his mind. Dane laughed, told him he did remember, and told him again that he loves him.
They even had sex while Dane was hospitalized lol. Dane's heat started while they were in the hospital, which influenced Grayson's rut. At first, it was quite confusing : Grayson thought he was the one in rut and Dane told him they should do it, but no, he was influenced by Dane's pheromones. This shows once again that in this universe, dominant omegas are much more powerful in terms of pheromones than dominant alphas. Dane told him to ask the doctor for strong painkillers. The next day, the doctor was shocked because Dane's health had deteriorated compared to the day before, and he didn't understand why haha.
When he was discharged from the hospital, he didn't tell Grayson because he wanted to know what Grayson was up to, as he had asked him for clothes filled with pheromones for the cat, but Dane had his doubts. So, he wanted to go home to catch him in the act and discover what he had done with his clothes. Grayson had spread all the clothes soaked in pheromones all over his bed and was sleeping with them he said that it was because he miss him and they couldn't do it, in his defense, the cat was also sleeping with him, so both of them benefited. Dane said that he will stop being a firefighter because Grayson is really worry about this safety, he told Grayson that we will have to pay for this (the insurance was great at this job), after that Dane told Grayson that he want to move back will him so they start to live together again.
Everything is going fine while they are living together. Grayson even buys a lot of matching couple stuff (including things for the cat), Dane have mixed feeling since they are expensive but accepte. Dane tells his friend that he is in a relationship. He also wants some advice about what to give Grayson as a present, but he feels like Grayson already has everything and has a lot of money, so it's difficult for him to find something nice.
In the meantime, Grayson tells him that when they break up, he will start going around apologizing to people he hurt. He discovered that the people he used to have relationships with started a group chat about him (lol). He also found out that three women had slept with him and Dane, and one had slept with Dane many times... so he asks him if he is sure he can be with only one person. Dane asks if Grayson thinks he will cheat. Grayson he want to believe he wouldn't ... but says that he cannot bear the thought of Dane cheating on him. Dane is shocked but thinks it's karma, since he did not give Grayson enough assurance.
Dane talking with Joshua (He was reluctant at first since the brothers are still at odds), he finally told him that he is dating Grayson, he was ask for advice for a gift. Joshua didnt want to help a first because it was for Grayson, but finally give in. Dane finds the perfect present: going to Disneyland again, since Grayson really like this place and last time was a disaster lol ! They have fun there, Dane told him its to raise bad memory and build new one, Grayson hear start pondering, and Dane told him that what he is feeling is "touching" so he discovers a new emotion.
At Disneyland, Dane was standing far away from Grayson because he was embarrassed (lol). Grayson was excited about everything just like a child.
At the end of the day, Dane tells Grayson that he loves him, that they should stay together, and never break up. He also says that he knows that he has many issues, but he hopes that when difficult times come, Grayson won't let go of him.
Grayson says he will never let go of what is his, so Dane is his forever.
As you could see, the novel ends well.
