I have a theory on all three (possibly four personalities) jerk mugo is the original human who made a pact with deity (sir mugo) the reason I think sir mugo is a god/diety because he ‘infantalizes’ mc just like the well deity. Child/savage mugo was originally a demon/ghost spirit that was consumed by sir mugo to become more powerful (jerk mugo in chapter 2 implies that sir mugo is weakening and he may have been a weak deity who sought strength) but lost control and was sealed away in a jar (the dream sequence chapter) jerk mugo was a human who’s lover (mc previous life another dream sequence) was does in front of him while persuading him to get revenge. Jerk mugo forms a pact with the combination sirmugo/savage mugo enitity to get revenge by becoming the initial human sacrifice but he has influence because he formed the pact. He may have lost his memories of his original pact and believes he just is and always was mugo. Sir mugo remembers everything and savage mugo knows nothing. Fourth mugo is unknown and bonds all three personalities or maybe he just doesn’t exist. If I knew how demons and deities worked (like if deities ascended or are created) in some Chinese mythologies deities were born humans who ascended so idk. Also mogu in Chinese characters means devils story or something like that (hard to tell when u don’t know the exact characters) but it’s definitely begins with “demon” according to well deity so he definitely is a demonic entity at least partly (sir mugo is/was probably a true deity at some point).
