I am trying to remember the name of this yaoi manga: the uke is a school teacher with long hair and the seme is a Young student. At some point the uke is kidnapped by how old flame from childhood who the uke tought was dead. They were part of a gang or smth. And when Young the uke was abused by another rival gang and saved by the childhood seme.

ghind123456 June 15, 2018 5:18 pm

hello guys! I.m trying to finish my paper on manga studies. Can you please tell me the reason why you are reading manga? It would help me a lot if I knew your opinion. ^^

    Boiiiiiiiii June 15, 2018 5:32 pm

One main reason why I keep reading manga is that I love seeing the different variations in art styles, plots, and character tropes from a culture different from my own. I love how sometimes you come across “hidden gems” in certain works and really find something that can touch you emotionally. Some made me cry, some made me laugh out loud, some made me feel really happy as well. Sometimes, after a bad day, I read over some of my favorite mangas and it usually makes me feel better. I got into it after my friend told me about a certain one that really interested her, and although I didn’t get into it myself, it opened the doors of other manga to me. Overall, I’m just thankful that I had the chance to look into stories and to admire the art of so many different authors and writers over the years.

    Bananan!!! June 15, 2018 5:32 pm

Because manga have frickin diverse art styles and it has some of the most amazing plotlines ever. Also, because reading manga is kinda my way of avoiding life in general.....

    GoldenScale June 15, 2018 8:10 pm

Started reading it by curiousity, and then when I wanted more manga I found an app in english and my english improved a lot since then. (Not that it was bad to begin with)
It was an easier way to expand my vocabulary.

I tried searching for a manga that i read nearly 1 year ago but i can.t find it. It is yaoi/shonen ai and it.s about a guy who comes from the usa and he meets with his old best friend at this school in japan. The seme is really mad at him for leaving; at some point the uke falls off the roof trying to help another colleague. And that.s pretty much what i can remember from it. Please help? ~puppy eyes~ (/TДT)/

    Nanami March 17, 2017 11:25 pm

I guesss is because of how cute the character are and how hard it is for them to be toguether and the stories are really kawaiiiii ⁄(⁄ ⁄·⁄ω⁄·⁄ ⁄)⁄

I just feel like since we girls can't really experience that sort of excitement of basically hot guys looking so sexy while doing it and have a beautiful relationship is something i guess girls can't experience. Or it can just be that it's just REALLY REALLY REALLY SEXAYYY (╯°Д °)╯╧╧

    ghind123456 March 17, 2017 11:32 pm

Haha i agree with all of you. XD although i.m not really into kawaii stories but mor lile into impossible situations, dramatic even tragic ones. Anywayz there must be a psichological reason but i.m not sure what that might be...

Probably because men are supposed to be seen as really manly and strong. They're not supposed to show any type of emotion and it sucks that society has put so much pressure on them to be a certain way. We're slowly making progress in the right direction but i'd like to see more. Anyways seeing two guys be all cutesy, romantic, and intimate with each other is absolutely adorable. Not to mention, if you LOVE boys then what's better then seeing TWO HOT GUYS FUCKING. Ahem.. so that's my reasoning.

In my case and many others, we discovered yaoi later. When I got into manga, I started by reading shojo but the stories gradually became repetitive and boring. Then I found yaoi. In yaoi, nothing is sure and our MCs have to face hardships while in shojo it's sure they are going to end up together because she is a woman and he is a man, exemple. Yaois and shounen-ai are also more oriented toward the emotions of the MCs even if there are tons of sex scenes. They make you connected to the characters and craving for more. Once you start reading you won't stop and you'll cry with the other fujoshi and fudanshi when there's an update but it's an extra ( ;∀;). We are also a fun community so sharing our opinions makes stories even more enjoyable!

    Anonymous March 18, 2017 3:48 am

Same reason guys like yuri I would guess.

    kuudere March 18, 2017 4:08 am

When I discovered yaoi I was only 14 and didn't know so much about gay sex, so everything was new and a little weird. Anyway what got me do addicted was the development of the relationship (more natural and faster - it's not superficial), awesome art and the way they (couple) are so friendly and cute together. I love the fact that two guys look so in love and never gets enough about each other. Yaoi seems brighter and more exciting. I feel super happy when I receive an update ^^

    Anonymous March 18, 2017 4:08 am

The reason that girls tend to like Yaoi more is because it is completely detached from the social norms placed upon girls.

for example in a shoujo manga the lead is a girl and all her actions kind of resound with how most girls would act in reality. It is very close for comfort.

Whereas in Yaoi there is no female action thus girls find it much easier to relate, imagine and enjoy without internally conflicting emotions the content because it is almost impossible to happen to them.

In reality Yaoi is seen as truly fiction and hence can be easily enjoyed by girls without internal psyche conflict.

Also there are HOT Guys. So (๑•ㅂ•)و✧

    merestranger March 18, 2017 5:23 am

well, because female lead in shoujo manga, whether it was the protagonist or the antagonist never fails to irritate the hell out of me and of course those HOT SEXY SEME with Perfect Body, not to mention all smutty scenes. I'm drooling just thinking bout it

ghind123456 January 30, 2017 7:18 pm

Hello, community! I am searching for yaoi manga that has a psychological side and makes you ask yourself questions. (+some hot yaoi scenes too why not) Can you recommend me some pls? ^.^ [I have already read Moritat, What Lies at the End & Bastard]

    Read at your own risk.
    Barouque chrysalis manhua
    Yume yume shinjuu
Litchi hikari club and is prequel although I suggest you read the prequel after the sequel/main story (has a bit of gore too)
Yoru wa tomodachi (I thought this one was actually pretty cute)
    Sora odaite oyasumi
    Shiiku gakari rika
    Blood (yaoi)

Couple of months ago I read a yaoi manga and I can.t remember the name anymore. It.s about a gay guy and a straight one and they are friends or Smth. Someday the seme decides he would like to try it with a guy but the uke responds "anyone but you". They eventually get together and go to a hot spring and the uke faints. In the last chapter they have pretty rough sex. Aaaaand that.s pretty much what I can remember. Can you pls help me find it again??? :3
