Ah also i am kinda sad that dieter and lev arent gonna meet each other anymore..man..
It had to happen though - they were no longer compatible as friends, partners or master/servant.
Lev has to kill and eat people to survive. That is his normal. He wants someone like himself to connect to and his family seems to employ others to do their bidding and have lots of people that are their servants.
Dieter killed because he had to as a kid, and as an adult, he was feeding the only person he THOUGHT was looking out for him, but we know by the end that was never that case. Lev was never his friend. He didn't want what was best for Dieter, he just wanted him as someone to relate to/be another servant. Lev's role in the death of Dieter's mother made that clear, as well as Lev being willing to get D in trouble. Lev was holding D back from ever being on a path to recovery and redemption.
Their friendship served a purpose for a time (Lev to survive, Dieter in processing his guilt) but ultimately they were both worse off for knowing each other and their friendship was nuclear waste levels of toxic. Had they not met, Dieter's mom would likely be alive and D would be traumatized but not a serial killer, and Lev would have survived just fine because his family as other servants.
People be saying they miss jay even tho it has only been a few chapters..
i am glad to see more chapters about the rest of the characters that are racing in the tournament tbh..
jay is the MC, give the others some spotlight too jeez..
i like it when other characters get to have their own little character development and not be some throw away npc...
it makes things more interesting and better imo, id like to see more of yumi maybe her and shelly could train together..
same goes for shark boy(forgot his name),
or even more of the girl that tried her moves on jay jo, id like to see her be more friendly with owen etc.. even minu and his girl that also barely get some spotlight.
