It's a genre and not a specific art style that artists are limited to. There's a plethora of all kinds of artists out there drawing bl. You'll probably find someone who's art you like. And it's okay if you don't too
Lowkey I find WAY more high-quality art when reading BL compared to straight stories. If you wanna find some good ones, go to the yaoi category and go through from the last page backwards, the newer ones (almost) always look better

i find the replies to this funny bc just a few a days ago i was having a convo with a bl reader on here who used to dm and beg straight romance artists to draw bl bc she was jealous that bl didn't have good art styles
A few years ago I used to think the same but I guess now it's the opposite because yaoi art has really improved in the recent years and now it actually seems better than straight art
i personally think there are good and bad art styles in both genres even recently but to each their own
I feel like the art in general for most genres got much better after 2023, 2023-2024 is when some really good ones started existing

The characters are built like two cardboard boxes, or refrigerator, or.....idk. it feels stiff.
And the hair isn't detailed.
And the eyes aren't as pretty.
Though, the vampire one, doyun(?) The uke basically, got THIS great glow up and the whole art in general. Ugh. It got so pretty.

Plus, the author of this work has the fl be the biggest pushover.
She has no real people near her,; they either use her, want to use her, or on the way to using her.
The FL was done with ML and his pathetic ass too. She was LITERALLY GASLIT AND BLACKMAILED INTO getting with him at the last few chapters.
