It is effed up. Seriously, it is. But, do you really think Bum will flip? He was raped by his uncle. Judging from the liberal use of tape in his flashback, Sangwoo was raped by his mom. There's a lot of effed up going around in this. Bum may understand more than we think. In fact, he may be one of the ONLY people to understand the confusion of loving and hating someone at the same time in that kind of situation. Clearly they'll have to work through it (which will be a rollercoaster all on its own), but I feel like if there is anyone who could relate, it would be Bum. Plus let's not forget that Sangwoo is a serial killer. You can't just call a serial killer a disgusting freak and expect to be able to skip out the door. He'd end up back on the business end of that sledge hammer.a
Why would he call him a disgusting freak?
I just... don't know why... but I like the bad guy the most. I want him to be happy too. This is all "Killing, Stalking"s fault. Making me have sympathy for the bad guys.... I like Jua too, since the beginning, even though he was such a douche. Gun pisses me off. He passes my tolerable level of innocence threshold.
What's wrong with me!?
Remember all those subs MD kicked to the curb because they were so clingy? He was not prepared for Chanwoo.
I see a lot of people were disturbed by this until the end when Chanwoo said he liked it. I think I would have been too if it were anyone OTHER than Chanwoo. Like, if it were DG I'd be pitching a fit because... well... let's face it. He's a pushover. But with it being Chanwoo, this chapter had one of two possible endings. There was this ending, then there was the one where he popped up, snatched the riding crop and put MD on the business end of it, screaming, "Who. The. Fuck. Do. You. Think. You. Are!?" between swings.
I know, right?! I love Chanwoo because you never know what he's gonna say or do.
MD got upset because he's probably never had a gut check like that before. All the other subs we saw were so clingy and into him and Chanwoo is all like, "Are we done? I have way more interesting things to be doing" and even called him old in the beginning. lol I love that he is so blunt.
All I remember is that recorder from like, episode 1 of this season. So I am not sure if that cop is listening to it or what... because Koogi is clever as fuck and it could have just been to mess with the viewers. Like, maybe it wasn't the cops at all but sangwoos (cuz I mean, set in the closet? You'd find it as soon as you went to get dressed in the morning. And may be Sangwoo did and is totally on to that cop for snooping. Who knows?) Anyway... despite who it belongs to, I bet Sangwoo spins it to his advantage somehow, somewhere down the line. Whether they kill the uncle and he uses it as dirt on Bum or if they use it to portray the uncle as a stalker type and farther clear their name or whatever.... this is going to turn into an "oh shit" moment.
I mean... Bum looks a lot like Sangwoo's mom. Like... a lot. Is that why Sangwoo let Bum live despite his impressive level of crazy? Is there a mommy complex working its way in to this? Now I am over here at 130 in the morning all wide eyed because I am thinking about Bum's mom and how she seemed kind of flakey bc his uncle said she left him for Bum's dad. Like... what if she left the dad to? Or may be the dad died before her or something. Was it ever really said how his parents died? And the uncle got all handsy wi th Bum because he looked like his mom.
Oh. Em. Effing. Gee. You guys. Are these dudes related? Is Sangwoo's mom Bum's mom? Please, dear sweet baby Jesus, let this be the late hour planting crazy thoughts in my mind. Don't let this be my reality. This story is already addictively fucked up as it is. Do not throw that curve ball at me.
I'm mind fucked right now....wow. Maybe that was the secret that Sangwoos mom said she had. Is it possible that the mother got pregnant by the uncle before she got married? We dont know anything about how Bum came to be with his grandparents. Just that the mother died. But who are Bums parents? Bum IS four years older than Sangwoo, and maybe she got married after she gave birth to Bum.....your theory is amazing. And it makes the most sense. I love it. (⊙…⊙ )
I know right! The uncle did say his brother was tall and handsome. The dad from chapter 40 looked a lot like Sangwoo, but the dad from chapter 5 looked.. well... more like the uncle (which would make sense if they were brothers). Sangwoo was afraid of the ch. 5 dad, but got excited to see the ch. 40 dad -- and he was about the same age in both memories.
So! If this theory is true, was dad #1 actually the uncle? Or are we dealing with 3 men instead of two?
Of course they could be not related at all and it is just a giant coincidence that Bum looks so much like his mom.
Either way, it is totally starting to look like Sangwoo's mom had shitty luck with men and maybe went a little insane. Maybe she was so possessive of Sangwoo because he was a "Good boy" and the only one who didn't hit her. I bet she killed the dad and Sangwoo (since he seems so obsessed with her right back) tried to cover for her by mutilating the body... which probably drove him a little insane. I wouldn't be surprised if him killing his mom was some kind of accident. Like maybe she really tripped off the wire and he had to kill her in self defense or something-- which I think would have been the final blow to do in his sanity. He just seemed so normal as a kid. There had to have been a breaking point.
And also, remeber how the Uncle stumbled upon Bum when he was being escorted back into Sangwoos house after interrogation? How did he know Bum was there? Or was he [Uncle] looking for Sangwoo? And Bum also didnt tell Sangwoo about his Uncles visit, so we will never know why the Uncle was there in the first place.
I wonder, if due to Bum's known mental illness and his interactions with the police, that his Uncle was appointed his guardian. Bum might be 26, but if he was deemed to have diminished capacity, then his Uncle might have been notified by the police about his new address? This seems the only plausible option I can think of at the moment, as I doubt the Uncle found Sangwoo's house by accident.
Yeah, I wondered about that too, but then I remembered that Sangwoo went to get Bum's stuff from his old apartment, so he had been living alone. Still, the police could have easily told his uncle where he was if they had a reason to. Like if they had reported him missing or something after so long without contact. But I don't know if that is the case or not. There was never any indication of anyone reporting him missing. I am sure that cop would have recognized him as another victim WAY early on if that had happened. And as it turned out, they were able to get away by saying they're in a relationship, so there was no reason to tell anyone anything. Unless a report had been filed, I don't know if the police would go through the trouble of finding Bum's relatives and telling them where he was. So, we either have a gaping plot hole here, OR there is some connection between their families that hasn't been revealed yet.
OR! I could be totally wrong. Those detectives paraded Bum in as a victim, so maybe it is some kind of protocol to find the closest relative and let them know he'd come in? But even then... the police wouldn't give out the address of the "suspect" he came in with. But they may have let his name slip somehow when they thought it was all a misunderstanding....
GEEZ! I am talking in circles now. Me and my stupid freakin theories....
Yeah, you're right. I am still wondering what the cop is planning with all the DNA he took from bum. Ignoring the fact the the cop is like, super right on his hunch, he seems like he is reaching that breaking point too. Sangwoo better not start running off at the mouth at home about killing those girls like he did at the restaurant. Didn't the cop bug the house?
Oh that tricky author. Lol, I had noticed it being gone when he was dreaming about Sangwoo telling him to open the door, but I didn't notice that it was still gone when he woke up for real. So he was just running around the house screaming at shadows. That is scary as hell. In that case, what can you really believe when we're reading along with Bum? How much of what we know so far is real and how much is just him hallucinating? I wonder if it is some kind of PTSD from what his uncle did or if it is something else. Geez. now I am questioning it all.
Definitely.
I mean, Bum also hallucinated something with Sangwoo in the early chapters even though he didn't know the real Sangwoo at that time for so long as well as the body parts in the washing mashine though Sangwoo said that he saws the limbs of his victims so maybe they were really there once, before Bum was with Sangwoo.
But those are the only scenes we've seen him hallucinating so far, I think??
I guess if somebody can figure out what exactly the red and purple shadows mean it might be possible to tell the difference (e.g. purple means hallucination or trauma). The problem is that it might take a while to figure it out since you have to read the entire story again and keep track of every single scene with these shadows in it.
I don't really have the time for it right now but maybe somebody else is crazy enough to do it.
Well I looked back to Chap 7 when Bum hallucinated the limbs and Sangwoo, though there were no special colour shadows, I thnk Koogi simply began to do it more often and clearer in S2.
What I found out after re-reading it though, was that ma theory about Bum getting money in return to sex with his uncle might be right.
In Chapter 1, we saw in both scenes Bum alone in his apartment, though that could've been when the uncle was at work.
In Chapter 5, he said that he lives with his uncle though when Sangwoo went to the apartment, nobody was there, again, the uncle might've been working.
And back again in Chap 7, he asked himself if he really wants to go back there, when he was about to leave Woo's house, even prefering( http://www.mangago.me/read-manga/killing_stalking/mf/c007/53/) his shitty uncle after he saw Sangwoo killing him in his hallucination and made him have a breakdown.
Bum having a visual hallucination about his Uncle actually makes the most sense. So props to yeet for pointing this out. It just shows how vivid these can be for him, and obviously extremely distressing. This shows that both characters aren't the most reliable narrators, as they do both have a warped perception of reality such as showing hallucinations as memories or how they see current events. It's a complex, and quite bleak manhwa for sure. I hope the uncle actually doesn't make an appearance again though, Bum has had enough of his abuse and was able to escape, maybe he might try to kill him though, or get Sangwoo too, and this could be a more obvious murder, so they get caught....?
I wonder how butt hurt Alex is going to be if DG says no. I mean,... we all know DG really does love Alex, but if he faked a no, I wonder if Alex would be relieved or stunned. *sigh* he'd probably act like that's what he wanted then throw another temper tantrum the at the thought of anyone else getting interested in DG.
Also, I am still thinking that asshole friend of Alex's is going to get in the middle of things. He seemed so shady when DG said he knew where Alex lived. Does he have a secret thing for Alex or something. I wonder if he watches the show too and recognizes him.

I'm so glad that when he found the condoms he straight up asked about them instead of blowing a gasket and accusing him of cheating like some of the other insecure couples you find in manga.
Take BJ Alex for example... ya, their relationship is good now, but when he saw him TALKING to MD in a PUBLIC setting, Alex lost his shit. Lol (love that manga for real tho)
Proper sequence of events --> Sees something out of the ordinary, asks about it, hears truth, crisis averted.
Oh!? I dropped BJ Alex because I thought their relationship would always be that bad, so they're on better terms in the latest chapters, then? I'll try giving it another shot lmao
Good job (=・ω・=)
