Same here but I really wanted snow this year

    misekatte December 24, 2014 5:21 am

Ah, we had half a metre of snow, but it all melted when we got some unseasonal rain (after a few days of -40C it jumped to +12C) :( so we are having a brown Christmas too.

(Visiting family in Canada for Christmas) Hahaha - thought I should clarify that one)

    GuruOfAwesomeness December 24, 2014 6:14 am

Neither do I, since I live in Southern California (it was 70 degrees this morning...)

So I guess thanks Mangago for bringing us snow, lol

I Thot You Was a Toad December 6, 2014 8:46 pm

Christmas is coming; the new releases are getting scarce. It's like the pre-pre-Oscar season for yaoi, especially the popular ones. When the holidays hit, there will be a flood. I wish you all the opportunity to read them in privacy and peace.

    kurome December 6, 2014 11:00 pm

well for I probably wont get my yaoi manga until after the holidays since I get stuff imported from the US to here in the UK. And at this time of year shipping is a nightmare -.-

    Slykitty December 6, 2014 11:27 pm

LOL, privacy is in short supply when you go home for the holidays. I, for one, won't be reading the latest updates if there's any chance of my mom or grandma peeking over my shoulder.

Aww, I hope there are some nice treats on this site for you to enjoy by the time Christmas rolls around.

That might make for interesting holiday dinner conversation. *g*

    aomineisdreamy December 7, 2014 5:24 am

Likewise. I'm really excited, because yaoi is my Christmas present to myself. The holiday rush must be rough for the mangakas though.

It's my present to myself, too. I suspect the mangakas prepare for these events all year round.

People are getting some incredible service from this site, and I would like to find out how. So, questions ....

1. Apparently, there is an update email notification service. Or so someone said on another comment thread. How does a person sign up for that?

2. How do we search through the site using the tag functions?

    cleo September 26, 2014 1:41 pm

    1. Right above the feeds section on the main page, there is a box saying subcribe for update.

2.You have to write http://www.mangago.me/tag/(the tag you want to search trough and if you wat more than 1 tag you add a + between the word)
    ex: http://www.mangago.me/tag/romance/
    http://www.mangago.me/tag/romance+comedy/

Do you really want ALL updated mangas notify into your mail box?
I prefer to be notified only the mangas I follow, which's in "I'm reading" and not by email, just notify here somewhere like the notification of topic/reply.

All manga? Not really, but how do you narrow it down with "I'm reading"? I've got a fair number of manga stored in "I'm reading", but I receive no notifications when they update. Is there some sort of special way of going about getting that? (Even if it's not by email. Even if it's on my personal page somewhere ...)

Sorry, I confused you. There're no that kind of notification at mangago yet.
But I had ever seen that at mangatraders. So I hope there will be here soon.. so I just wait patiently. XD

(-: That sounds like a handy widget. Of course, it means a huge portion of the entire population of Mangago would probably descend on Ten Count and Love Stage at the same time.

It's only 1 email with the last 100 updates on mangago. It's fun because some times you discover manga you don't know or probably wouldn't read.

That's much more manageable. I would still prefer to have a way to filter stories I'm not interested in, but you're right that it's better to have an overabundance of choice than too few. And at least a single email is easier to scroll through than going through different pages.

    Oh? How?

I Thot You Was a Toad September 17, 2014 4:28 am

Does anybody know if Takanaga Hinako ever wrote a sequel to Liberty, Liberty? It seemed to me I recalled a second story where Itaru is enjoying some personal success as a screenwriter, and the former friend who betrayed him by plagiarizing his work comes back to finish the job by accusing him of what he, himself, did, which is to steal his ideas.

Or am I confusing this with something else entirely? (I know there is one involving a kimono fabric designer hounded and terrorized by someone who was jealous of his success, but that was a completely different story.)

    Kathy September 17, 2014 4:45 am

    are you talking about these?:

Ive actually never read these but i know they are not the sequels to libety, liberty, but they are of Kimi ga Koi ni Ochiru.

Hi Kathy! (I was tempted just to PM you directly, since I suspected if anyone knew the answer to this, it would be you.)

Kimi ga Koi ni Oboreru was the sequel to which I was NOT referring, the one I mentioned in brackets. It's a great story, but not that one.

Did I just dream up this sequel idea? The storyline seems so clear to me, but I've been wrong before.

Actually, I don't think you were dreaming up that story, cause i'm pretty sure i have seen others ask for the same (at least very similar) to that plot. I remember someone also answering and I thought it was one of the ones I gave you, but maybe it's by a whole different mangaka.

Those are the stories which concern a brilliant kimono painter and a jealous rival. Same author, similar theme. But they don't involve a plagiarized script/screenplay, and they have nothing to do with the writer, Itaru, and camera operator, Kouki, or the comic universe of Liberty-Liberty. I was sure Takanaga had taken that story further, and I was looking forward to reading how Itaru's reputation is redeemed.

    Thanks, anyway.

I Thot You Was a Toad August 22, 2014 7:12 am

At least, I thought the artwork looked like hers, but it doesn't seem to show up when I do a search on Yukimura's name. I have read it on this site before. Just can't remember where.

It has the memorable words, "If your proud rooster could meet my hole ..." which kind of makes my brain explode in a fun and giggly way.

Apart from that, I think the story is about a man who is injured after helping another man move into his apartment, when a stack of boxes? falls on him?

Any help is very much appreciated!
