I started this back in 2022 and already locked it in my mind as total peak, but I failed to keep up with the updates. Now, reading it all together in one go.. This is just instantly my #1 villainess manga. Not even recency bias, every single part of this was just.. amazing.
The whole time, I couldn't stop thinking about how perfect the art was. It depicted ethereal, breathtaking beauty, and the disgusting ugliness (Pina..) so well. What hooked me the most was during those really high-intensity scenes where the shame/fear/despair was portrayed, and the lines became incredibly messy, just all over the place. It felt so real, so.. intentional. I literally shuddered reading those panels. And especially during the scene where Pina was rolling around on the ground like an animal, the movement was depicted SO well. The art compliments and adds to the story to a degree unlike any manga I've ever read. (I'm an artist, so that might be why it stuck out to me so much afrrnn)
The story is no less incredible though, I felt so satisfied the whole time. There were a few things that I would've liked to see happen, maybe like Remilia and Emi living happily together even if not as a couple, but just staying by each other forever. I do actually like how Emi lost a large chunk of her memories, but I'm not sure how I feel about her becoming the child and Remilia marrying Angel (don't get me wrong tho, I love him).
But either way, the ending had me feeling so satisfied and happy. I'm truly satisfied with the entire plot and how most characters were developed. The way we got to see the side characters again was just so heartwarming and made me really feel that "joy of living".
Also I fucking love Thorne
I'm so happy I decided to read this mannnnnnn
I don't think I've ever read a romance like this before.. My eyes have been opened. It was so very beautiful and it absolutely destroyed me, the intense emotion in their younger selves. I just cannot. It's too real. The way that I don't know if they end up back together or not. I didn't really cry during the whole story, but the moment I kind of caught up to what I'd read a few seconds after finishing, I cried INTENSELY. ╥﹏╥

Dropped it a while back, tried it again. Long story short, a lot of laughter and tears. Thank you for the experience to everyone involved. I’m gonna go find a brick to hit myself over the head with and hopefully lose my memory so I can hurry up and reread this
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS COMMENT BRO this has been on my tbr forever but after ur comment i read it and its PERFECT thanks so much (and let me know if the brick works so i can do it too)
