There’s stories I read only once, stories i reread a lot, but this story I could never finish until today. Every time it gets to the princess arc I’m too afraid to read bc of how depressing it is to see the mental state Ian is in. I’ll tell myself “there’s still time left!” But by the chapter Ian tells his right hand lady, “he won’t choose me” is when I put this thing off for I think 3 years. The ending made me happy I’m just glad Ian didn’t have to live as a secret lover. I love being dramatic
