Love this Manhua so freaking much. This Manhua, here you are is so realistic, with the conflict being non accepting society and parents which we can all relate to. Djun does a good job depicting her characters, as not perfect, it is rare to find such story lines and characters that are complex and take in consideration real life issues LGBTQ+ people face which is homophobia. We can see obviously the characters personas are molded around the stigma of homophobia. (I mainly think this applies to Yu Yang and Chu Huan Wen), with taking the big context not only keeping homophobia in mind we see each characters inner turmoil, social standards and trauma. We can see so much doubt romes in each character and see uncertainty of following through with love because of this back in forth of falling out and in love we can all relate to these characters thoughts and actions wether that be good or bad actions. For example, Yu yangs inner turmoil is, his issues with vulnerability, he has been hurt so many times, afraid of true connection with peopl, not wanting to be the first person to convert Li Huan of being gay little does he know Li Huan is also getting hurt by this protection. Yang Yang realizes this protection is one-sided, he felt that he was protecting him but in reality he was hurting Li Huan. This writing so genius there is so many layers to character in this comic, and honestly the making of this story and characters is so meaningful to me as a person apart of the LGBTQ+ community, this comic is so validating and gives you so many lessons to take with you.
Exemplifying my Iove for this story and characters, Yang Yang is just one of the many complex characters in this story that make this manga unforgettable. Relationships of course is just apart of this comic, in relationship aspect of here u are, not everything is so steady, straightforward and it shows the not so fun sides of relationships as well, doubtfulness of a relationship and struggle with intimacy was just one of the many things I picked up on. In the bloom of Yang and Li Huans relationship you could totally spot the difference of comfort with intimacy, though they settle this in the end I th)gust it was a really nice touch. Another point to bring up with the realistic aspect of relationships, ending of Li huan and Yang Yang not being able to argue effectively and Yang being doubtful of their reaction and questioning "where is the magic now",,, This is so valid and real, we get to see the rawness of a relationship which I admire so much. I would also like to appreciate the panels and story writing, the way the story and universe was set up was straight up beautiful, and the panels are so simplistic yet effective, literally the definition of a picture speaks 1000 words. I love how for the confession scene they foreshadowed this in the beginning of the story, It such a subtle touch but its things like this that pull on our heart strings. Thank you so much Djun for this story, once an English adaption and physical manhua comes out I will be sure to buy it, Thank you so much Djun I love every single character. (๑•ㅂ•)و✧
