I'm so annoyed with this lack of character development. It's been over a DECADE and this "relationship" is still toxic, I just didn't realise it back when I was an ignorant 14 yr old. I DO see a little tiny bit of improvement but not enough to justify their behaviors toward eachother. Morinaga is a rapist - he constantly gropes and has sex with Souichi against his will. Souichi is verbally and physically abusive towards Morinaga and it's like, if you're still not cool with this gay thing, then LEAVE? It's frustrating and idk if I want to continue reading it bc it seems like the story is just going nowhere. There are better steamier and healthier BL couples out there, y'all. These two are not (should not be) couple goals.

I personally love this story, the uke wasn't a dumb weak boi and the seme wasn't a creepy controlling frog. Sure at the end of it the words "love you" didn't come up, but still better then some out there.

That's what I said, that I'm thinking of leaving it for good. I did used to love this series so I kept giving it another go, another chance, waiting for years and years until I pretty much JUST realised it was never gonna change. If you love something it's hard to let go, to actually admit to yourself that it's bad and not worth loving anymore. Still have many good memories of it too.
I'm guessing you're a teenager :) I used to be in your shoes, not literally but I used to love all kinds of yaoi, no matter how violent and fucked up they were. Then I grew up and started questioning the media I like and realised I'm not really into this stuff anymore. And like I said, def thinking of leaving so don't worry about that. Not torturing myself lmao this manga literally updates a few times a year. And YES I do enjoy the healthier happier love stories I read BUT that doesn't mean I can't also enjoy some less healthier ones, if done right. Even fucked up ones. As long as the fucked up things aren't encouraged in any way, if that makes sense. I'm not saying you're not allowed to enjoy this series just bc I don't, but I think it's important to adress these issues bc a lot of the audience for this series consists of young impressionable kids, basically. I just don't want anyone to glorify this type of relationship. English isn't my first language so I hope my point came across haha
