I love a tragic story like this because of the characters’ angst. These two characters are on the verge of throwing their lives away, but once they meet they find their purpose for living. It’s a faithful tale of right person wrong time. It seems their lives were always intertwined even when they haven’t met. I love how the story ends with each of them coming to important realizations regarding the value of their own life. It might have come too late for him, but nonetheless he found true atonement and satisfaction.

i haven't yet read the entire story, but i know how it ends. that being said, stories like this are more realistic on human emotion. i.e. in every romance, you're not going to find perfect people with good intentions. the story really takes the toxicity of both of the main characters and spins it on its head, to show how messy and imperfect romance can be.

okay, so i'll acknowledge that the author said the ending was rushed, nonetheless, i'm still a bit disappointed. i get the whole premise of the story was the FL being obsessed with the ML, but it would've been nice for the FL realize the ML is a normal person just like her, and that she shouldn't put him on this pedestal, b/c that's only damaging in the long run, no one is perfect. also, i have a gripe with how it feels like the FL loves the ML more than he loves her. oh yeah, and the rest of the relationship have no closure, like there was no confession from both of the childhood friends, heck, the ML doesn't even tell the FL he loves her, or even reciprocates his feelings to her face.

EXACTLY. the girl realized her feelings much earlier in the story and she's been his fan for so long. meanwhile his interest in her was just a couple of moments where he blushed a bit. i expected them to end up together in the end, obviously, so i was really disappointed when they ended it just like that. and fumi. he's liked her for so long, they should've added a scene where he confessed to her and moved on. and i understand what you mean by her needing to realize the ml is a normal person. as a fan, she's seen him as some sort of god. she worshipped and even sacrificed her life, not one, but two times for him. this development would've made this story ten times better.

so upon reading the afterword, i felt there was something off. like how the author intended this story to be an erotic manga. in my opinion, i think its tasteless to depict young girls being r*ped as an erotic fantasy. but, i'm glad in the end the author dropped that narrative, and the story became about exploring the lives of the victims.
