I would just like to point out. Even though there relationship isn't fixed by the side stories I do not blame them.

Just think how messed up you would be. If you were in love with your first love and all that person did was use you because they were selfish. Then someone comes along that can break you free from that.

But it gets all twisted because of all the years you were basically being poisoned.( mentally & emotionally) You can't even trust yourself or your true feelings. Because you have been brainwash into believe no one can love you.

i would say yes because it’s the toxic in the most normal way. there’s no grape and sexual abuse (not that i remember) no SA and devastatingly horrific mental abuse it’s just people loving each other with smut and angst it’s so lovely i adore it

Best way i can word it without spoiling too much is the main couple for most of this entire series have managed to mentally traumatize each other to the point where they’re no longer the same and have absolutely no trust in themselves or the other and are continuing their relationship bc plot

I'm genuinely concerned for the people saying yes it's worth it like watching two people destroy each other is worth it?? it's not even in a way where they explore what toxicity can do to you. it's just that they are toxic but now they are together and you have smut scenes constantly in the side chapters. there's nothing fun about this story

that’s exactly what i mean. i’m sorry to say this but at some point it would do you justice and peace to just leave a person you have severe traumatic memories with than to continue being with them despite the crippling trauma they continuously trigger in one another but hey ig to each their own?

nah exactly. like I genuinely can't enjoy the story anymore cuz every time I just think about how they magically just heal up after a fight that would change their entire views of each other as people like nothing happened is just so unrealistic I can't even read it for the 'angst'
