At the beginning I thought the artstyle was odd and didn't attract me much, but I ended up liking it more and more to the point of being kinda very obsessed with them immensely ヾ(❀♡◡♡)ﾉ☆ the characters, the plot, their chemistry, their issues, their development, their steamy scenes, their straightforwardness with eachother, their hold of power.. I don't know, I just ended up loving them.. but I totally understand you, it's not everyone's taste ╮(￣▽￣)╭

I agree, the art style was so harsh. But the more I read the softer the art style became to my eyes. I fell so hard for Shin and Jake. Their relationship is so raw to me. I have read shutline more then a couple times. ⁄(⁄ ⁄·⁄ω⁄·⁄ ⁄)⁄

What I love the most about Jake and Shin. Is their unspoken bond. I could go on and on about how much I love them and everything they stand for and how much they push the limits of their life's together and separate.

Yeaah ε=ε=(ノ≧∇≦)ノ!! I love the fact that their chemistry was shown from the very first moment Jake stared him up and down while he was fixing/messing up Jake's car. And I knew this manhwa would be unique on showing their unexpected love/relationship dynamics!
As you said, their unspoken rules are also intriguingly interesting, because it seems like they both are being quite respectful about it after they stated their "business" deal. Also, their mutual comunication goes along with their situationship and feelings development, nothing too rushed nor too slowed down nor too toxir nor too cheesy! Furthermore I love the fact that Shin isn't just a bottom per se, I mean, not the ones I see on other manhwas; I love that he has his power over Jake too, he has his ways, his backstory, his development as a individual, even if he is poor, his attitude, his street-smartness, his character is so very well grounded!
From their growing attachment to their dialogues are well portrait and it perfectly matches everything they are facing!
Maybe I'm being a little too biased here, but yeah, they are one of a kind for sureヾ(❀╹◡╹)ﾉ♡♡♡♡

You are speaking my language!! I fucking love Shin!! I know Shin is definitely a switch. But he is top notch power bottom with Jake. He"s fine as hell in everything he does. They are so twisted together in the best possible way.

I totally agree. Honestly, that's how I feel about Dear Door. So underrated. For a fantasy based BL it's just so good in my opinion, I felt a rainbow of emotions reading that one. I read the first 20 chapters of Dear Door but then it got complicated and the artstyle was way too unique for me to appreciate it and the scenes where way too rough for me taste in some chapters even if they were making love ⁄(⁄ ⁄·⁄ω⁄·⁄ ⁄)⁄ but I guess I'll try to give it a try again (๑•ㅂ•)و✧!

Honestly, if it's not your cup of tea. Don't even worry about it. Dear Door is a little confusing at first. But everyone has there own taste.

If you were going to read it. Maybe check spoilers out. I would hate for you to start reading it again and it be a waste of time. Dear Door is very much R rated. Pluto likes its dirty lol I really love the main couple. The best way I could describe Dear Door is its kind of like supernatural but rated R. With demons and angels and humans. All trying to play out the balance of power.

Yeaah, but I gotta admit that I read it when I was first new here in this website so, I think if I started readin now I would be more "prepared than before" in a good way, I think I'll really give it a fair chance, and also, I really liked the first chapters but then when they changed the focus of the main couple I lost track of the plot (normally I would always like the 2nd couple more, but in DearDoor I only liked them, if that makes sense)..

Define the relationship: to me the art is stunning. When I read it. It made me feel loved in such a romantic way.

When a killer falls in love: this one surprised me. I have never laugh so much in my life.

As for dear door. I don't like Sid. He made a stupid choice because he didn't believe in Cain. Even when Sid was "freed" it was really hard for me to be like ahh baby. No he is a bad demon. Cain is not evil.... there was one other things I did not like. But I guess it made up for it. With what ended up happening.

But anyways I hope you look over the suggestions I gave. Like I said don't even worry about read door.

Ngl at first i thought the same but he's gonna grow on you as the story goes. I actually even started grinning stupidly everytime I see edits of him. He's so daddy I can't
