Have they missed like a large bulk of the story, whys the last chapter so far into the future?
This is the 3rd translation I've seen of Cherry Blossoms after winter including the books. Though you pay for it the best translation is on TappyToons. It's interesting to see the difference, the wording flows better on TappyToons. They got the names right though yay.

The sudden genre change doesn't work, the journey came to an end. Ushly in a story a couple would work together to over come trauma. This guy has major trauma, she could never understand or believe (judging from her character.) It's romantic that she lived, it really dosnt work though.
