that was a flashback, like before the boss became very greedy to the pearls. It was as if saying that he was the first love of the pearl boy, I guess. He was literally like seungho, i mean he's not greedy, but that was like he basically do to nakyum to make him stay before HAHAHAHHA lmao.

if you can remember the names well, you can jump to the chapter where the manhwa is currently at. But I recommend you to read it from the top (make it drop) so you can imagine it well and you won't be confuse with the names.

Also there are very few miniscule things they change up/omit from the novel. I have no problem picking up from when the manhwa left off,but I did double back and read from the beginning because Jin Woo's inner self is more fleshed out in the novel than the manhwa
