Simply:
Wei Wu Xian: our mc who's also known as Wei Ying (birth name) and as Yiling Partriach. He's also the one who creates the path of dark cultivation. He's the Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation.(づ￣ ³￣)づ
Lan Wangji: seme-kun, also known as Lan Zhan (birth name) and Han Guang Jun(title). [You haven't met him in these uploaded chapters so you'll have to read the novel.](๑•ㅂ•)و✧
Mo Xuan Yu: a cut sleeve that is treated harshly by his aunt (Madame Mo- the crazy woman) and his cousin (Mo Zi Yuan- the ugly fattie). Basically, Xuan Yu is the dude in chapter 1.

Wei Wu Xian was summoned by Xuan Yu in chapter 1. In exchange for Xuan Yu's soul/ death, Wu Xian have to complete Xuan Yu's wish which is to revenge on his aunt and her family. The cuts on his arms will disappear when the wishes are completed.(〜￣△￣)〜
In chapter 4, the ones in white are the juniors/ disciples of the GusuLan Sect, the one laughing is Lan Jingyi and the leader-san is Lan Si Zhui, the calm dude and yeah he's a dude. (⊙…⊙ ) All of them are (￣ε(#￣)Σ
(You don't really have to remember exact details of the forehead or clothes or such).

The disciples are there to cultivate the walking zombies (I call them that lol). The zombies are attracted to the black flags so they're trying to surround and kill them at once. Clean and cut.（￣へ￣）

Zi Yuan died bcuz he was clearly wearing the flag on his body and it attracted spirits to come to him. Zi Yuan died from a more dangerous spirit than the zombies that is able to kill 2 people in short amount of time. （/TДT)/

Two cuts disappeared which means first wish is Zi Yuan's death, second is Madame Mo's husband and last is of course Madame Mo (spoiler for manhwa).Σ( ￣□￣||)

And Wei Wu Xian was dead bcuz Jiang Cheng (basically bestie) killed him. ╥﹏╥
And there's four sects, GusuLan (our seme's birthplace), Yunmengjiang (mc was raised here with Jiang Cheng), Lanlinjin, Qinghenie.

Understable, please read the novel to fully understand the story. (Highly recommended)

What happened so far in the manhua is Wei Wuxian (the main character) who is considered evil to the public died 13 years before being summoned by Mo XuanYu (a gay guy who wants Wei WuXian to get revenge for him by killing his family). So now Wei WuXian is in Mo XuanYu's body.
His cousin, (eh forgot his name but the chubby one) is one of the people that Mo XuanYu wanted dead, which explains why one of the cuts of his arm disappeared.
So in the story, there are different clans and one of them in the Lan clan. They came to the Mo village to help them exorcise some corpses, spirits, whatever. They used these flags (which Wei Wuxian created in the past) to attract the corpses, but the chubby cousin took one of the flags from somewhere which made attract an extremely powerful corpse (the one that killed him) and the father. Anything else that you don't undertand?

If I may, I would like to know what you think about the absence of makeup on the face Mo XuanYu (Wei WuXian) , he is supposed to have it from waking up to his arrival in the mountains, it's quite different novel! it's the will of the author of the manga, I know it but I don't see why he did that. To show the beautiful face of MC and attract readers?

Yes i noticed. Have you noticed that his makeup was not present during the attack of the hand? XD (it will be present later since I've seen a sneak peak of when Wei WuXian meets lil Apple for the first time :D) idk if that's a mistake on their behave. Not that I mind tbh. He looks beautiful with makeup or without(≧∀≦)
