Damn. People's media literacy and reading comprehension sucks....would you not feel hurt if someone started to get close to you off of a bet/joke? Like i get he got to know her and ended up actually falling in love with her but its the principle on how their "relationship" even started
She was reluctant to at the beginning and sniffed out what he wanted but a part of her slowly began to believe and trust him as a person...as a man that he genuinely wanted to get to know her so for her to find out that it started all as a bet when she was genuinely vulnerable and honest with him from the very beginning probably caused her to spiral and question what parts were real and when it started to be real for him because it was all real to and for her. If she had just looked passed the whole bet it wouldn't have been a good honest start to a genuinely healthy relationship.
It also begs the thought of would they have ever even interacted if it were not for the bet to begin with.....the answer is probably no so these ulterior motives had just tainted the beginning of the friendship/relationship
