Choco have you ever heard of the concept of "show don't tell". Yea. Comics rely HEAVILY on that, so yes it very well could be the case that the author is using this to pair off the individuals. Or it could just be just whomever was closer to who. But I'll be honest, a good chunk of manhwas are so heavy handed that it isn't that far of a stretch to assume black haired male protagonist isn't the male lead. This is how you have a dialogue. Not by calling someone toxic and jealous "over every little thing". All we are doing is hypothisizing.
