this is a pretty solid story. while it's cliché, the plot is fairly interesting, the characters are likeable, and the artwork is pleasing to the eye. on top of that, espine is a very refreshing FL. my only gripe is with this manhwa is that the outfits feel quite bland for a fantasy story.. still shaking my head at espine's banquet fit for the prince lol but other than that it's been very enjoyable so far.
so far this is really good but after reading spoiler threads on reddit im not sure how this is going to go this manhwa is very unique and ive never seen anything like it, but the later developments.. yeesh.

AUUUUGHHHH THIS IS SO GOOD !!!! oke of the BEST historical manhwa I've read in awhile. while it's more fantastic than accurate, the historical ambiance is definitely there. the outfits are beautiful, and the politics are intruiging! it's very fun to read about all the different power houses! ublike most manhwa, the church (somewhat) served a more critical role to the balance of power which i enjoyed. i hope we get to learn more about them, as well as the history of demons.
anyway, Ayana, our protagonist is a PHENOMENAL female lead. her motivations are clear and she does NOT play around. it's refreshing to see a lead thats so diligent and human at the same time. furthermore, all of the characters are so well written!! her family and friends are all so lovable. i really gope we get to see more of them ^__^
ive read lots of revenge stories but none were ever like this. all of the relationships and dynamics have me at the edge of my seat. I hate the Prince, i hate Tara, and I hate the duke!!! villains well written fr.
more on the characters- the dynamic between ayana and diabel/diavel is so beautiful. I LOVE a good tragedy with the right amounts of love, loss, and yearning. I hope that they find a way to be together, that she can save him from his inevitable fate of succumbing to demonia. </3
also, i understand that erez is a part of the antagonists, but i can't help but feel bad for him. if his household wasn't crazy perhaps he wouldn't have grown to be so crazed. I wonder how cruel erez's death will be, or if he'll even die at all?
my favorite characters so far are Ayana (duh), Diablo, and Erez. they're all so beautifully tragic it makes me excited to see what happens next.
I have extremely high hopes for this manhwa!! Hopefully the ending is one all of the characters deserve ^__^

it was good at the beginning, but a bit after the FL gets into the contract relationship with ML it just starts going downhill ?? imo id give it a 6/10 overall, the premise is interesting, the artstyle is beautiful, and for the most part the characters are likeable, however after a certain point it feels really dragged out. chapter 45 nd im bored out of my mind
also the characterization for some of the cast feels very 1D, especially for the FLs ex-friend and the rest of the villains. their motivations are just cringe and i cant force myself to push through it anymore LMAO. ill probably pick this up again once all of it is finished, but for now im dropping it !!
i will say that if you're bored and don't have anything else better to do with your time, pick this up

i don't understand the people who believe that Richelle, the FL, is annoying.. like there wouldn't be much of a plot if she wasn't going out of her way to deconstruct the strange things happening within the Otis manor...
And to be frank, I feel like any other person in her position (centered as a protagonist) would do the same thing as well. Richelle is a selfless person by nature, so obviously it's hard for her to turn a blind eye to some extent, especially when she sees a part of herself within the twins and has acknowledged that the eldest son is being abused?? and that all of the children are subjected to some kind of mistreatment
