Re-reading this after so many year I can finally understand the complexity of this manga. Here are some of my new take away from it now
1 . It still bug me that Klaus never takes off his pant when they are having sex. Bugs me back then still bugs me now.
2. I never realized how young Taki was. He barely 20 and in his first ever relationship, Klaus is 26, I thought he was way older and they have only been in this relationship for maybe 6-7 months. Now being older then both characters I have a better understand of why the do the thing they do. When I first read this I was 16 and I realize a lot of things went over my head.
3. Klaus is not the bad guy in this relationship, did he do bad things yes. But he not the reason why their relationship is falling apart Taki has a big part to play in that. With is inability communicate anything to Klaus to the point it where he emotionally abuse him. Think about, Klaus is separate from everything he knows and loves with nothing to his name the only person he truly knows is Taki and all of a sudden he start to grow cold and distant with him. Every time he try to get close with Taki or get him to talk he pushes Klaus away. So I understand why he is getting mad and get forcefully with Taki. I believe is that Taki really didn’t want to have sex he could have stop it, he is stronger then he looks and that was shown to us in the manga. I think he lets it happen as a form of self-punishment for being a “bad” lover and not being the person he used to be when they were at the academy together. This upset Klaus more because this is not what he wanted, he just wants Taki to smile at him and talk to him like he used to. Klaus just wants to be lovers and doesn’t want to hurt Taki again.
There is so much more I can add to this with the war that on going, Taki position and being almost a living god that need to stay pure and so on. I am open to your thought and opinion on this very complex story and what your take away is. I do have to say all the time jump and the way the story stop and start made it hard to understand what happing at times and where you are at in the time line and what going on. So I do hope that some they fix in the new version and that we finally get to see that ending I truly do hope for a happy one where they can just be together.
Honestly i had the same feelings re-reading this series again and there are s o many intricacies i missed when i read this when i was younger. The new rebooted volumes were also such a joy. This is by far one of the best and most complex yaoi mangas out there and truly so much is given with the plot
a shoujo where the main female is a rebel/ bad girl. something different from your normal goody-two-shoes heroine.

ABO/Omegaverse is an alternate universe where there are males and females that are also alpha, beta, or omega.
Alpha goes into rut although they’re at the top of the social (and biological) hierarchy.
Beta is normal.
Omega goes into heat (periodically) and is at the very bottom of social (and biological) hierarchy.
The dynamic of ABO tropes is that there is this “one destined soul mate” and the alpha must mark the omega on the nape (in some stories, this stops the heats, in others, it just shows possession). Beta again is normal (some stories play really well with the beta dynamics).
If you need further explanation, feel free to ask, or pick up a omegaverse manga. Because the stories will explain it better than simply word vomiting.

I have been reading the omegaverse manga since they came out but it was a natural transition for me from Male pregnancy manga.
But when the first omegaverse manga came out it was mentioned in a few of the introduction sections that the first use of the term omegaverse was in a werewolf fanfiction from the west. At the time I tried to find the fanfiction to give it a read but the closest I could get was to a blog talking about it (if I remember correctly it gave the title and original bloggers name, but I can't remember what they were and have not been able to find the post since). Needless to say I couldn't find the fanfiction so can't really comment on about what was in it.
Most of the early omegaverse give reference to this as to where the term omegavers came from but each has then gone on to define their own setup for their omegaverse, that's why you have to read how the author has set up each particular omegaverse, but this is no different than how the Male pregnancy genre operated before omegaverse was introduced. Only exceptions I found were the works released in the omegaverse project, this is where different authors released works under the same omegaverse rules.
But as far as I'm aware the only original thing that the fanfiction author came up with was the term omegaverse used as an overarching classification for the alpha/beta/omega classification (which is a scientific classification theory, so author did not invent this) (also further research from the original scientist has debunked the original theory but it is still used today in fiction and pop science).
All the other things heats, knotting, scent marking, mated pairs and bite markings all come from scientific observations of wolves and various other canine species and some cat species. These have been used in a lot of supernatural works but in particular werewolf and lycanthrope or ones involving shape shifters. As far as I am aware these have been used in works for 20 or more years of science fiction and horror books. I was originally introduced to these concepts in works by Anne Rice and Laurell K. Hamilton. Stephanie Myers works popularised them.
Male pregnancy is a trope that has been used for years in manga years before omegaverse has been used. Some even used scents, heats and class (ie social class systems) before omegaverse. Some even used alpha/omega terminology but not omegaverse.
From what I do know about copyright law, that in western countries once a work has been published the author is protected under copyright. There's currently debates about copyright of online works (and what consists of as being published and self publishing rules). As early blog platforms either had no copyright statements or the statements had the authors waive their copyright to post.
Now it is advisable for authors to choose a platform that allows authors to retain their copyright, and also declaring what type of copyright they want when first publishing, this can be done by deciding what type of license they want to use and announce it either at the top or bottom of the works. (Some people might have noticed a creative commons or cc being used, this gives other users permission to use the work).
I hate myself for this but I really like this seme. I like his character design, that he shows emotion, he cares for the uke, and he will get down a dirty. It just the stuff I been reading lately the tops show no emotion, barely any forplay for the bottom and I think it started to get to me. BUT why the rape, why did it start out like that, why do we still have this trope in manga. I’m so tired of it.
