also you can't really blame his stupidity, he's literally from a high end family and most likely didn't experience hardships of being in a low class. And yes he's better now. Plus he's someone who's well realistic etc so it's hard for someone to accept what they think are not real to suddenly be real, especially since a prison ends up not looking like a prison and where monsters exist etc
