I have a theory. The duches said that the mc eyes are really rare to come by and yet the princess had those purple eyes. What if those purple eyes can only appear to those in the royal family. Hence allowing Luca to become the head without a lot of hardship bc he already has royal blood in him. But also revealing the fact that the mc is originally supposed to be a princess.
