Since Halloween is coming up, there are a lot of horror, slasher movies on. I hate them...like I could never get into them. I don't like the feeling of being scared or seeing other people get killed. I don't feel entertained by watching them and some of them are really gross. Do you feel this way too?
It's kinda a love-hate relationship for me. I don't usually see many though cause my mom is always nagging me about how it will mess up my chakra or whatever ╮(￣▽￣)╭
I just found that my grandmother has blood clots in the lungs...she had major back surgery and she formed a clot in her leg and it traveled to her lungs. I'm very sad right now, on the verge of crying. They admitted her in the hospital and I'm a med student and I wish it was something I could do to help her. I don't want her to die...how do people deal with this?

Honestly the answer is; Not right away.
Feel what you feel now, but no matter what there's always more to reflect about later. Just try to stay realistic and honest to yourself. It's never easy, because it's not suppose to be.
Grieving is like being stranding in the middle of the ocean, hanging onto a board of the broken ship that a giant wave crashed into. It's the feeling of desperately trying to keep afloat but yet so many things are anchoring you down. And when you look around, the people you know and love are all trying to do the same thing, keep afloat. Some people are struggling to tread water, some may have found a board to keep themselves afloat. The experience is different for everybody but it's hard all the same. But you know in the end the storm can only last for so long, and when you've made it through the burden, one last look can still grant you the memory of how great the voyage on the ship was and how daring the ending displayed your character.

The day my grandpa died, I was in the house sleeping. Despite the sirens, stomping, and yelling, I didn't wake up to see his last moments. (︶︿︶)
Pulmonary embolism doesn't have to be the end of the world. If she was overall healthy enough for back surgery good chance should will be fine I've seen more grandma's die of pneumonia than a PE.

I actually didn't know how I manage to deal with it. My mom passed away a year ago, she had an auto-immune disease and I literally watched her suffer for 5 years. You know, seeing your once healthy mom gradually weakened until she was bed-bound? She got so thin and her once fair skin withered. I remembered when she couldn't even sleep properly for years and she had to do it while sitting because she told me that everytime she she tried to lie down the bed, she felt like drowning. She was admitted to the hospital every fucking year and I was so angry at everything because why mom of all people. She had 2 surgeries but didn't survive the second one. Me and my brother were with her before her last surgery and she just smiled at us, saying it would be okay.
My brother and I were extremely anxious and started to panic because the surgery wasn't supposed to last 2 1/2 hours and when one of the nurses came out of the operating, I had this very heavy feeling trying to crush me alive as the nurse approched us, and the moment he said that they were trying to revive my mother, I felt the the whole world came crushing down on me, I couldn't feel my legs and I felt like my soul was sucked out of my body and I just couldn't. Saying it was the worst feeling ever was a major understatement. Being told first-hand that your mother was being fucking revived, meaning her heart stopped beating? It's one's worst nightmare coming true.
My mother was the strongest person ever and I could only hope and wish to be like her. and I miss her so so so much...
Oh and sorry if my post came out wrong, I didn't want to assume anything about your grandma, I just felt like sharing something that I could relate to. Stay strong for your grandma and hope for the best outcome .
