They loved them, m not denying that. But they didn't show their love to them, to any of their children except for Bliss. Koi was the one who was paying attention to them emotionally. But cs of Ashley he couldn't do that properly. And raising everyone was difficult for them not only Grayson. So yeah, they fulfilled the parental duty but were emotionally unavailable for them, all of them. Ashley was more attentive to Grayson because of his condition. What all the children needed was love and affection when non of them got

Yeah, it's kind of idk amusing that how every story revealed something new. In desire, it showed that they were actually attentive and loving but all the incidents plus few more incidents were revealed in the parents' own story that showed how their parenting actually was.
I feel like the author needs to make another story focus on Ashley and koi but this time just their parenting style.
I feel like we’re missing so much about their upbringing or specifically how’s Ashley is like with his kids (especially after koi’s poison incident).
The side stories were vague with their parenting style but we know that they’re not good parents
Yep like from what I remember, in ash and koi novel, it showed how trash they were as parents God DAMNNN, like ash emotionally and physically too i guess neglected all the dominant alpha children (except bliss) only because of his own insecurity of being an dominant alpha
Like reading lick me ( parents novel) made me realize how trash they were as parents but when I read desire me novel it seemed like the author was trying to protray ash as a parent who did his best and honestly ash Gaslighted me but still idk at the end of the day children are neglected/ crazy due to ash's insecurity and koi's stupidity/being dense.

I feel like koi’s presence will make him turn out differently. Remember, koi had to manage all 6 of his koi, splitting his attention between them, while nathenial got the least amount of attention from both parents bc he was smart and is more mature than the rest of the children.
Which is why in lick me novel, koi’s feels awkward around nathenial as he doesn’t spend much time with him, and nathenial didn’t seek out for koi period.
Nathenial respects his parents but he only sees them as his father and his father’s partner/person that give birth to me. He doesn’t have familiar feelings for his parents.
(I wish the author explore why nathenial is offensive to koi and why he only calls him by his last name while the other siblings calls him daddy)
I was annoyed by Nath at first in his own story. After that I read the parents story and the parenting part made me realise that somewhere it was Ashley open jealousy that made Nath so distant from the family. He was the first child and the moment he was born he has seen nothing but disgust in Ashley's eyes. Whatever Ashley was doing, for chase as he was emotional, he felt like they don't love him. For Grayson as he couldn't feel anything, he believed they are loving and protective. It was only Nath who could see the jealousy of Ashley and how desperately he was trying to separate them. So much so that Nathaniel never got close to koi like others. He never called koi as daddy like others.
And which is why he just stood there watching Grayson and Stacy poisoned koi bc he wanted to see how strong his Ashley and koi’s connection
