Stopped at Ch. 33, Spoilers:
Being spoiled that the ML is the kid ruined it for me...Cause like it's hella weird on many levels, like if the story is meant to fucked up, acknowledge it and then commit to it? Don't act like it's not wrong? Like knight should have lowkey been the ML because:
a) a hottie, the way he was introduced to the story was very nice, set him up as shy dude which is very attractive to many as seen by the many trendy manhwas.
b) takes care of little brother, potential future DILF.
c) has a sense of justice and morality.
But also any other man would do? We could get Lucas redemption arc or wife-groveling for the prince guy or just a whole new man altogether, cause why not!
And some of you say that the knight can't be with the mc because she's a princess and he's a commoner...Um, don't know how to break it to but the whole damn manhwa is about how filthy rich she is and how she's gonna use it for her own winnings and bag a hottie. That's literally the main concept. Besides we know that a commoner can buy 'titles' shown by how the guild guy did it (assuming lucas was a commoner, not really sure about this point cause how classism would be in the setting of the manhwa). We know if she wanted him, she would have him, commoner and all. She would 100% act like those I'm actually a 'good' noble types or see how happy I am with my husband compared to all your noble husbands? That's right! I win!
Cause...like? What's better in the eyes of the nobles: a knight serving the kingdom or a literal beastman who's seen a pet of the princess by the public (#spotted and treated as one as seen by his collar) but also hated against due to fantasical racism? Seriously which would she have easier time explaining to the masses? Also not justifying racism cause that's nasty, also like fucking slavery? She *bought* him!!! Hello? People? By the time he marries her, it would basically just have to be on contract, because she fucking owns him but he doesn't have any power over her. The power of 'love' can only go so far but the power of slavery runs miles.
Additionally his slave mentality is very present: He treats her like he would an owner and as if he were a dog, he waits by the door everytime for her cause independently he doesn't have anything to do, he shows off the collar because that's probably the first time he's ever 'owned' or been 'gifted' something. Also why a collar? Why didn't she buy him something like clothes that could have made him feel more 'humane' or find self-ownership? Cause the thing she bought next was also jewelry, it's very showing off all the jewels I bought my pet vibe. He views her as a Master because she literally bought him in front of his eyes! Moneybag dropping on the noble's face until he accepted it! When she tried to explain self will to him, he doesn't fucking understand because that's not how he thinks. So why should a dude like that be the ML?
That's slavery, my guy. Also why doesn't she feel bothered by the concept of slavery itself, like she's only bothered about the kid, not the whole system? Oh right, she's rich so she doesn't need to care about these things...
Also I wouldn't call it grooming if the ML was really an adult but in this case it's survival isn't it? Image you were bought and the thing that sticks out to you is your owner calling you cute, so you act cute so they don't hurt you like the others have and continue showing you the only kindness you've gotten your entire existence. We kinda see it because of how the kid treats the maids, differentiating their power over him from his owner, glaring at them and biting a maid from touching him until the mc tell him 'no' in a very condescending baby-talk manner that would have made a human being mad, quite literally forcing the kid to allow the maids and butlers to touch him cause what if she gets made at him? Plus if he's a whole ass adult, he should be viewed as a manbaby in the adult sense and be taught quickly in the human ways. She could have gotten him tutors, something to make him independent as she failed to explain free will to him, learning it himself would help more. Adding to this, this whole situation is mutually noncon since to her he looks like a little boy while hes an adult and to him she's his owner, so oop.
Another comment to address would be the he looks like a kid because of stunted growth, um...I'm not how to explain it but he doesn't look malnourished as he should, he really does look and act like a kid, the animal form being an adult also makes no sense in that case cause that should also be skin and bones, babes. If his growth his stunted, nothing should have changed except for his height. Besides why is nobody in the manhwa talking about how a woman is hugging a man or even a boy kid when as shown everybody would hurriedly ask mc who was that guy when she just tailed to a dude? Oh, you wanna know why? Take some time to think...Oh, because he's a pet to them!
Omg, this manhwa is also so boring? Where is the pushing force, the hurdle she has to pass? Oh, she doesn't have anything except her wanting love, even that isn't that big of a deal. This manhwa is very bores, 2/5. I like the artstyle, I was okay with the setup but after 30 chapters of nothing actaully difficult of the mc, I'm bored af. End of Rant,

Hopefully the mc keeps the tough girl persona and doesn't become a weak frail being with the ml.
