Interesting story, very endearing main leads, the side characters are a bit annoying but other than that this is a really good manhwa. I initially dropped it two times because I found it hard to get into the plot it didn't stick out to me but I gave it another chance. I usually like romances that start with characters who are strangers to one another. I like to watch them slowly get interested in each other and then fall in love. I like exploring the psyche of what makes two people fall in love. Here we have the opposite of that. There relationship is like an aftermath of many things that happened between them. What I really like about their relationship is how the fl emphasized on how the ml is her type. It comforts him to know that she will fall for him no matter how many times she loses her memories. But the ml, god I sympathize with him, he's scared. Because he's watched her go from a giddy teen girl in love with him to someone so entangled with her depression that she stopped being aware of him?like the scene from the past where she says "I feel like I haven't seen you while" Smth like that. It must hurt a lot to see someone you love slowly withdraw from you. Not to say that he also didn't mess things up in their relationship for it to get to that point. Then he adapted and took on the role of a manager and a support system because clearly that version of him was one she needed more. It's messy it's confusing but I like it. Me personally I dont want them to be lovers right now I think they both need space from each other.
All three of the stories are such accurate depictions of what stages of life they're in its soo good. I see so much of myself in the oldest brother and his love story is so realistic. I enjoy the second brother's love story the most cuz he's really my type and I really dig their relationship dynamic and with the third brother it's literally fluff I love it so much GAHHHHHH THIS IS SO PEAK I NEED MORE
What a good read. The author really put her heart into all these characters and it's shows. The relationships are so well written that you literally cannot hate anyone because they're so human. The main relationship is so good and I'm surprised by how much I love the main couple because i usually don't like the younger guy x older girl trope but this is so intense and angsty I love it. I especially loved the lala land reference chapter. Depicting how each character feels at that moment by showing how they connect with that film's ending is brilliant writing. also woori is so relatable she's literally me to a tee its crazy, also love when the girl leaves the guy and he comes back miserable than ever 10/10
I would've loved this more if it was longer like the whole time I felt like I was edged for a story that literally started at the end also idk if I were cloden I would've been so petty and I would've kept a grudge like he never vocalized his discomfort or how he felt when the count treated him like shit I don't get it but yeah loved the yearning and the pining
I love crazy tops and psychological, toxic bls but this was so??? It could've been so good if the plot was more developed and didn't drag so much, like we could've wrapped this up way before it didn't need 71 chapters, and the "dad" thing.... I was not having it. And it was even more difficult to look past since their relationship dynamic was so heavily based on the whole dad and son thing. I think controversial/unhealthy relationship dynamics can be written without being incestuous. It just felt like the dad thing was so forced because the author either wanted to add shock value to this manhwa or it's just straight up a fetish. Meh. Loved the characters tho, even couldn't loved their relationship IF NOT FOR THE WEIRD DAD THING AHHH
ur so right about the plot not being developed enough. They gave ZERO time to flesh out the villains (the uncle lowkey came out of nowhere?!). Even Nanmu and Pilgyun- we only got a quick overview of their backstories. The dad thing was obviously a fetish so I'm not gonna bother commenting on that lmao but I wish atleast Nanmu was normal about it
I didn't read pearl boy because I genuinely couldn't get into it but idk what made me read this. From the first chapter, yuta's character had me hooked. He's deceptive, manipulative all while dealing with a past trauma we aren't fully aware of. His hypocritical, two-faced nature is so intriguing to me, I'm so invested in his character. What I don't like tho are the sex scenes. They leave such a bad taste in my mouth. And I know toxic bls like this isn't my first rodeo but the way this author draws the sex scenes just rubs me the wrong way and I'm reminded of why I couldn't get into pearl boy. So my issue is, I'm really invested in the characters, their complex relationship and the plot but the intimate scenes keep throwing me off:/
I shed actual tears during chapter 81 when Ian was reminiscing about Jo for a moment like.....what about Jo??? I'm not blaming Ian cuz I sympathize and love him but Jo means so much to me. He's been nothing but nice, patient, loving and caring. It's so clear that he's passionate about his photography and he has goals in his life he wants to achieve but he was willing to get into this mess just for Ian OH MY GOD. I don't want him to lose his innocence and kindness by doing something that will damage him his whole reaction to witnessing Ian kill that man in the alley was so heartbreaking I feel so bad for him I'm gonna cry.

Every time his marriage flashbacks come by I feel so bad for the ex wife like my god did she deserve better we often forget, even when reading bls, how compromised women are like idk maybe I'm thinking too much but yeah thank god she got a divorce also I feel bad for cheol but he caused a lot of his own misery too
right? she doesnt know cheol like we do, so she probably though she ended up with an incompetent husband (which he was) and was played like a fiddle :((
Exactly like yes we know cheol is not a bad person he just has a lot of issues but the reality is he gambled money, was incompetent and deadbeat and not to mention he married her just to appease his parents like she was straight up being used the whole time and it's like so many women irl are in marriages like these it breaks my heart HOPE SHE GETS A SIDE STORY W THE BODYGUARD
I hope she gets her happy ending with a husband who cherish her everyday and behaves the complete opposite of cheol
