I was actually excited to read this, thinking it was going to be an absolutely ruthless FL who doesn't care how far she has to go to get her revenge, including harming innocents, which its a pretty interesting path to take, but I was pretty disappointed. Don't get me wrong, she is EVIL for what she's done, but I feel like the author tries too hard to paint her as a saint, like, if she was just manipulating people to view her that way it would make more sense, but i feel like they're really trying to justify her actions too much. Like, yeah, I'm a bad person bc I made a little girl into an orphan when I was ten while trying to fulfill my duties, not bc i brainwashed a knight to kill 90 innocent people, including children, just so i could take one more step into my revenge. It tries too hard to make it seem like she HAD to do it. Hey, slavery is bad! But not me! Bc I bought a slave from an ETHICAL place, after all, slaves arent only tools but people ... that are being sold... and you bought one... If she was unapologetically evil, and owed her actions, this would be SOOO much better, but they try to downplay it and normalize it. Overall, the story is shallow, if they went deeper into the darker stuff it would be perfect
I dropped this for a simple reason, so many things left unexplained. I know its tragedy, that the ML will be an ass later on, but that's not why i stopped reading. I even thought there were some panels or chapters missing because??? First the servant caught them going at it, and threatens to expose them, but doesn't??? He was almost attacked by me FL too, did i miss something? They never adressed it again. Not only that but after Eli kills his father and hides his body, the father is not even considered missing but dead??? Did they found the body? If so, why werent they suspicious of a murder? AND AND, the FL suddenly appears with short hair????? There wasnt even a single panel explaining this, when, why she cut it. Is there chapter's missing? Bcs im genuinely confused
