Normally they do it to tell apart /separate the characters, since is the same artist, it means that a lot of them have the same face (but it doesnt apply for all the artists),especially when it comes to the main characters (for yaoi), most of them are drawn to be handsome (even if "supposely" one of them is not). hahahaha such a long reply sorry, but i guess is not like it doesnt exist, if you try a little harder maybe you could find some, if not try doujinshis, the chance is higher with those
