It's about a boy who is sick and might not live and his doctor's daughter spent her childhood with him and they love each other. When they grow up, the boy doesn't want to get close to the girl because the girl's father, his doctor, told him he might not live so he doesn't want to hurt her. Eventually, he meets another girl who is sick also and he ends up getting with her (I believe out of sympathy) which hurts the girl he truly loves. As the story goes on the girl he loves gets with another guy, even though they still love each other. Around the end of the story the sick guy has to have some sort of surgery and he might not live through it. Unfortunately, that is all I really remember besides the ending being vague on whether he lives or not. I also remember there being multiple times where they were at a clover field. In fact, that's where the ending takes place I believe.
