This story had potential and whilst I am disappointed at the abrupt ending I still appreciate it for the nuance plot and emotions it brought. Palace of Bardo and POTN walked so stories like this could run. Even ‘Even if you don’t love me’ BUT. the creator missed addressing the HUGE bomb that was the implication that Garon was potentially gr*omed by his mother!? What!? Also I need better/more clarification on the Imae poison because 1) Roha sure got lucky giving Garon the Baekak the way that would cure him when he wasn’t sure HOW it was the antidote. There was no mention of if it worked that way or how the physicians worked on him. ALSO, as much as I like the premise of the story, the happily ever after (IK side stories may be different but ending the main story with so many unanswered plot and story limits what the creator’s vision may have been) is undeserved and we needed to see Garon down in the trenches and Roha really having to face these emotions. The story addressing this by saying Roha is the only thing Garon has ever had is a lazy copout and the story didn’t do enough heavy lifting in the character department to earn the simple and profound impact they were going for.
