Perhaps you did not know about senseis health issues, her trouble dealing with a death in the family and the fact that this manga (when sensei is working) comes out every two months, but that was rather ignorant.
I'm going to generously assume you don't understand how manga are created/published and provide an explanation that might help you. So in case you don't know:
- Many manga, like this one, are created and published serially, meaning in installments, a chapter at a time. The chapters appear in bi-monthly collections from various publishers. This one appears in Be Boy Gold from Libre Publishing. - So at best, new chapters appear every two months. But most manga are not updated in every single issue. There may be scheduling conflicts with other manga. The manga may be on hiatus for various reasons. For example, this manga went on an extensive hiatus last year so that the "author" (aka mangaka) could prepare for the publication of the tankobon for volume 8. - In case you don't know what that is (if you really are not buying sensei's work) a tankobon or a volume collects a certain number of the chapters that were published in the bi-monthly magazine into a single volume, for sale in paperback. Sensei typically does a lot of extra work cleaning up and adding new drawings to her tankobons. - Now, this is what I'm afraid you really don't understand. You are reading this manga for free on an illegal scanlation website. All manga posted on this website are posted here illegally. The scanlations (scans of the original manga that have been translated into English) are the work of dedicated fans who mean well and only want to provide a translation to other fans who don't read Japanese and are too impatient to wait for the official English translation (which can often take years to be published.) - This website hosts those scanlations for free, but this is not meant well. It is a money making scheme. The website owners allow you to read for free because of all the ads on this site that create revenue for them. They are making a ton of money for every single hit on this website. - This is the key point: NONE OF THIS MONEY GOES TO THE AUTHORS/MANGAKAS. - So what you are reading here has essentially been stolen from its creator. This is her job. It's how she makes her living. Reading the manga here, you are stealing from her. This is why people are upset with you for your demanding attitude. This is like breaking into someone's house and then yelling at them because they don't have enough stuff for you to steal. - In closing, if you really love this manga, support the author/mangaka. Her work will soon be available in electronic format, if you can't buy the paper copies.
PS: A note on serial stories. You complain that the manga is only "halfway." It's not halfway. It is ongoing. Do you really want it to be finished? Then there will be no more ever. This is such a strange complaint.
