White haired guy is the adopted son, i think they translated “brother” from 동생 (dongsaeng) which can mean younger sibling or in this case just someone younger than him

idk why you all are hating on the backstory, i personally think it’s actually really good and well written. ofc i miss the current story/timeline but this is needed to know when going forward into the book and i feel like this backstory is much more enjoyable to read compared to a lot of other long backstories :,)
Idk about others but for me it's because the updates are so slow and I have to reread the shit from the start and when the update is here again the whole plot is once again forgotten

logically, ML can’t be redeemed in the slightest for literally everything he did. he was horrible, doesn’t matter if it’s because he “cared” abt MC. but my emotional side…says maybe he can be redeemed, and this chapter just fuels that feeling.
Maybe i need to re read this story cause all the horrible things he did are so vauge in my memory now.
he raped & basically abused him a multitude of times in absolutely terrible ways, said awful and disgusting things to him causing MC to spiral into an even worse mental state, forcibly brought him to a brothel or whatever tf they’re called in this book and basically said “oh u think i’m bad? fine, spend your life here to pay the debt”, and more :/

I didn't forget the actions but like I forget how mucn of an emotional impact they had as a result him trying to redeem himself is easier for me to accept because all those events have diminished in my memory. So I feel like to have a proper none recency bias on the guy I would need to re read.

I LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH I read this years ago on webtoon when I was younger and just came across it recently on here so I was like “why not? I think I used to like it” and correction : I FUCKING LOVED IT AND I STILL DO I CANT BELIEVE I FORGOT ABOUT IT :,)
