Yes, Akihito was kidnapped but what happened to him in that time we don't know. He might have been brainwashed or amnesia might have been used to feed him lies, but we don't know the details yet.
Everything else is still open. In Naked Truth Asami was at the height of his power, in Innocent Eyes he is bereft of it completely. He is in a country far from home - at this point with only Alex (who I think is suspect af). Also he very likely has no idea where Akihito is and who took him plus the fact that Akihito seems to be "a different person", while in Naked Truth he knew exactly where he was and with whom and that Akihito was still Akihito.
So except from the "Asami is hurt" and the "Akihito was kidnapped" this could go into many different directions.
Also Naked Truth had with Feilong as a protagonist some very important attribute, that is until now missing from Innocent Eyes.
Whoever is the great evil, whoever is behind it all, whoever comes to mingle in all the chaos is very important for wherever it goes from now on but I guess we can be certain it won't be Feilong, hence making this completely NOT like Naked Truth ;)
I know we don't have all the details but it doesn't change my theory that this is most likely going to be just like the fei long ark. yes this can go in many different ways but lets not kid our selves, the list i wrote is most likely going to happen because this has happen a few times before with only minor details added or taken away

the only difference are in the first and second one is that asami isn't injured, in the third one asami IS injured, fourth one aki isn't sexually assaulted, asami isn't injured, aki isn't sexually assaulted and for the last one all we know for now is that the only difference is that aki is most likely brained washed. there's a pattern in the series and the reason why it doesn't seem the same to some people is because the author takes out or adds on one or two things to those arks to make them "different" but they're basically the same just one or two things added or taken out. my theory stands on how its most likely going to be the same thing but the only difference is that aki is brain washed and more fighting and raping. like don't get me wrong I love the manga but i just HAD to let that one out. like for years i noticed similarities in the arks and i just hope this one is different and not the same thing.
But then it's not a repeat of "the Fei Long"-arc but just repetative in itself.
